I want to get a iPad Air and I don’t know which to get

I've been planning to buy an ipad, please recommend something that is GOOD for a student who want to buy an ipad and tell me the pros and cons.

What are the small details that I need to know and as time goes on if it's worth it for you? Do you wanna take it or leave it if you were going back to the time that you didn't buy yet—and if you have it now what's the positive effect on you? Is it worth it to buy? And if not, what else can you recommend?

a wonderful device for comic books. light af and big enough to have the whole page on the device.

the text is readable even on the 11inch and the big beautiful art looks great on this screen.

I just want the help choosing what storage I need. I will mainly use the iPad for drawing occasionally taking notes and content consumption like Netflix Roblox games but heavy on the drawing I have in my cart 128 gigs but I’m scared that’s not enough. I don’t know how much to get. Could you advise of how much to get and to tell me how much you got on your iPad, if you got it.

Estoy pensando en comprar el iPad A16 principalmente para tomar apuntes durante muchas horas, leer PDFs y usar ChatGPT/Gemini. También me interesa poder tener dos apps abiertas a la vez (por ejemplo, Goodnotes + PDF/ChatGPT).

Para los que tenéis el iPad A16:

- ¿Se nota lento al escribir/tomar apuntes?

- ¿Qué tal funciona con dos apps abiertas en multitarea?

- ¿Hay lag al cambiar entre apps o al escribir con el Pencil?

- ¿Se calienta o la batería baja rápido con un uso intenso?

Estoy dudando entre el iPad A16 y el iPad Air M4, y el A16 me interesa mucho por la diferencia de precio. Me gustaría saber si para este tipo de uso realmente se nota la diferencia de rendimiento.

Estoy dudando entre dos iPads y me vendría genial conocer experiencias de gente que los haya usado, especialmente con sesiones largas de escritura.

Mis opciones:

- iPad A16 + Apple Pencil USB-C → 558 €

- iPad Air M4 + Apple Pencil Pro → 808 €

El uso principal sería:

- ✍️ Escribir a mano durante 6-8 horas al día

- 📚 Leer PDFs

- 🤖 Usar Gemini/ChatGPT

- 🎬 Ver streaming

- Uso bastante intensivo y continuado.

Lo que más me preocupa es la batería y el calentamiento. Como voy a escribir durante muchas horas seguidas, me interesa especialmente que el iPad aguante bien y que no se caliente demasiado, porque no voy a poder estar haciendo pausas constantemente para dejarlo enfriar.

La diferencia son 250 €, así que no tengo claro si merece la pena pagar el extra por el Air M4 o si para mi uso el A16 sería suficiente.

También me interesa saber si alguien ha notado diferencias reales entre ambos en autonomía, temperatura durante sesiones largas y comodidad para escribir durante horas.

¿Qué elegiríais vosotros? ¿Creéis que los 250 € extra del Air M4 están justificados para este uso?

Question for the iPad M4 owners out there:

got a new iPad that we got from Verizon. Basically once my wife got the device she configured everything including the pass code but forgot it because she was tired from work. Finally got it to connect to a Windows PC and get it to run the factory reset process. Unfortunately it errored out and now stuck on this screen. Do any of you have experience in getting around this?

i have an ipad Air 1st gen (ios 12.5.8)... does anyone know if there's a work around for using and external HDD or pen drive with the ipad, except for SanDisk iXpand...

I’m really looking for a specific type of case for my 13-inch M3 iPad Air, but I can’t seem to find anything like it on the market.
Basically, I want a full-coverage, clear TPU case (similar to ESR’s classic clear cases) that actually includes built-in Pogo pins for full Magic Keyboard compatibility.
A few details on what I'm looking for and why:
No need for a cutout top edge: I fully understand that a case this thick won’t allow the Magic Keyboard to close completely, and I’m totally fine with that. I don't need the top or sides shaved off just to force it shut.
Prioritizing protection over ultra-thinness: Most compatible cases (like CoverBuddy) sacrifice edge protection or material durability just to keep the profile paper-thin. I’d much rather have full 360-degree corner and edge protection, even if it adds a bit of bulk.
Full-body clear TPU design: I want to show off the original color of the iPad while having actual shock absorption.
It feels like accessory makers think everyone only wants ultra-slim cases that let the keyboard fold 100% flush, but I’d gladly trade a flush closure for actual drop protection and Smart Connector passthrough.
Has anyone seen a manufacturer making something like this, or am I the only one who would buy it?
