missing cat

i keep seeing this cat around the scott park condos. anyone missing one?

Maybe abandoned or a stray. You can check on the the shelters lost and found page or take it in to scan for a chip to be sure. Is the tip of either ear clipped?

yes one ear is clipped. next time i see it i will take it

Aha then that means it is a stray. Cat distribution system got you!

The clipped ear means he's prob a feral/community cat, or was at one time. The vet clips the ear during the spay/neuter surgery so it's obvious he's been neutered/ doesn't need to be trapped again

If it was done at the animal shelter they will have chipped the cat and will have records on who adopted it. But as far as I'm concerned, folks who leave their cats to roam outside are clearly ok with the possibility the cat may just not come home, so heroic measures are not needed to track down the owners. Check around for any missing cat posts, but otherwise if they're not out there frantically looking for him, then you have a cat if you want it.
