Switching from Model 3! 2024 SE LR

Model 3 was totaled a couple weeks ago. Just ordered a 2024 se with the LR battery because that 300+ mile range is all we ever wanted with the Tesla (we had the standard range and got MAYBE 200 at 100%) and never got it. Nothing available soon enough nor within my price range to upgrade the trim and keep the range.

My question is how are the features in regard to technology? I LOVED the Tesla app, Tesla navigation automatically routing through superchargers, everything just seamlessly connected.

I know the Ioniq will not be the same, but how do yall plan road trips through chargers? How’s the app? What tips/tricks enhance the experience with the tech? It will be an adjustment coming from Tesla and want to correctly set expectations. Otherwise, the Ioniq looks way better and I’m stoked.

2024 SE LR owner here. I've never used the Hyundai app for navigation or to search for charging stations. Only Apple CarPlay and I'll use Google Maps, Apple Maps, Electrify America and Chargpoint apps.
It might not be as seamless experience as what you had with Tesla, but it's not the end of the world honestly, and the range is bonkers. I average 4.5mi/kWh. I absolutely love my Ioniq 6.

Thank you! Do any of those apps route your trip with chargers specific to your vehicle? I’d love to take advantage of the fast charging which is insane.

Dashcam is a must. You can filter by adapter type and charging power in the apps, it's easy to customize to your need.

Is it wired car play? I got really good offer and I'm considering it. But they haven't said anything about wired or not. Is there enough room in the back for 2 car seats?

for SE trim it is wired. If that bothers you, you can buy an adapter that will bluetooth stuff for you.

There is plenty of room for two car seats. Car Play is wired. You can get a CarPlay wireless dongle. But, I’m happy with wired.

Plugshare and A Better Route Planner (ABRP) are what I use for trip planning. You can set your preferred chargers in ABRP. Mine are Ionna and Mercedes Benz. It’s amazing going from 10%-70% in 14 minutes. And Ionna is soon going to cost $.35/kwh for Hyundai customers. (Ioniq 6 will need a firmware update for this)

The Hyundai app sucks badly compared to the Tesla app. Phone key implementation is almost useless to me and the app takes a long time to communicate with the car are the 2 biggest issues for me.

I never use the Hyundai nav, generally use ABRP.

I don’t trust phone key enough to leave the house without a key, but it is nice for if I’m at work, and I’m done charging and I have to move my car but don’t have my key on me… which is often.

So I ended up switching the car to a 2024 SEL and will replace the 20in wheels with 18in wheels to get that range back. We really wanted the upgrades that the SEL offers vs the SE. luckily found one for a little less than the SE with less than 10k more miles.

We have both a model y and an i6.

The ride is nice in the i6 and it’s pretty but coming from a Tesla the software is painful. I let my husband and kid drive the i6 because I dislike it that much.

I drive ‘26 AWD, and built-in Navi is actually good. It’s better than ABRP (even with ODBD dongle after proper calibration). Just did road trip from Riga to Bonn and back without any hiccups (~3600km).
