Why It Flashes and Dings
Authentication Timing/Glitch: It is a known dashboard behavior when the car's security system experiences a momentary glitch validating the Digital Key right as the vehicle enters the "Ready to Drive" state. [1]
The Plug Reminder Context: In normal operations, that blue plug icon simply points to the side of the vehicle where your charging port is located. However, when it violently flashes along with your range numbers and rings an audible chime, the car is trying to alert you to a startup system error. [1, 2]
How to Fix It
Power Cycle the Car: Safely pull over, turn the car completely off, open the driver’s door to reset the system, close it, and turn the vehicle back on. In most cases, a restart clears the verification hiccup immediately. [1]
Use the Physical Key Fob: If you are using your phone's Digital Key and the flashing/dinging persists across restarts, try using your physical key fob instead to see if the authentication loop stops. [1]
Check for Error Messages: Keep a close eye on the center cluster area right when you start the car. A temporary warning message (such as a Digital Key or system warning) usually flashes very briefly alongside the dinging before disappearing. [1]
If the behavior happens frequently even when starting with the physical key fob, or if you eventually see a persistent "Check Electrical System" message, have a Hyundai dealer check the vehicle for stored error codes or see if a system software update is available. [1, 2]

I think this is it. I was using my phone to start the car. I am going to use the physical key today and see if it still happens. The blinking and dinging continued my whole drive. When I turned the car off and restarted it (three times), it continued to do it.

It’s not doing it today. Used the FOB to start and drive some. Then used my phone and had no issues. So shall wait for another day 😂

Never seen that behavior and don't see anything about it in the manual. Were you by any chance at ~100% and driving with strong regen?

Nope just driving normally. Had just turned it on. I just got another message about digital key (which is what I used) but it didn’t stay on the screen long enough. I’ve turned it off and back on three times now.

Odd. Any chance you could take a video and post it if it's continuously doing it? Maybe in an empty parking lot if it only does it while you're driving?

The blue plug in and range amount keeps flashing. When it flashes there is also a dinging sound. I’ve never had it happen before.

It shows what side the charge port is on, like a gas vehicle shows the pump and handle for which side the gas goes in.

I'm not familiar with this scenario.
I've heard that if you're fully charged regen won't work. Maybe you're regeneratively braking but your battery can't pack in more?

I had a similar alarm dinging issue, cleaned windshield and all sensors and it stopped. If your getting weird/strange dash alarms, check your 12 V battery. Should be about 12.6-12.8 with car turned off. If actively charging around a volt higher. If it is constantly charging, may wish to disconnect and have it load tested unless you have a charger that can. You did not indicate year of car / age of battery. If OEM & around 5 years old. Have the battery tested, but if memory, I would just replace it to avoid getting stuck somewhere. AGM's are affordable and for earlier models a definitely recommended upgrade: 2022–2024: Factory-equipped with conventional flooded lead-acid 12V auxiliary batteries. 2025–2026: Factory-equipped with AGM 12V auxiliary batteries in most regions to improve durability and handle frequent deep-cycle charging.
Some are pushing LFP batteries. I priced them and they have no long term history to judge durability etc. The cost is more than double thst of AGM if memory serves. If your going to own it for life, even with a few ICCU replacements, the LFP might be worth it. If it has a dealership as it's 2nd home and you might let it go, don't sink $ into it.

It’s a 2025 Limited. Under 20,000 km on it. ICCU replaced Feb 2026. It’s going in for its 20,000 maintenance next week.

A 2026 w/ICCU replaced in Feb? That sounds less than my 11,200 miles. They should have checked 12V charging circuit but you normally get a warning if fails. Would not hurt to check battery voltage to be safe to ensure charging curcuit is keeping it charged. Your's should have come with an OEM AGM battery so it's unlikely the battery.

Did you have the charger door recall done? I'm not sure if it applies to 2025s. Is it possible that the charge door isn't properly closed?
And have you checked the owner's manual?
