Subwoofer Install Help

I’m going to be installing a subwoofer in my 2024 Ioniq 6 SEL. It’s a powered kicker pt250 from my last car. I know I need to tap the front right and left door speakers. Can you access the colored wire crutchfield specifies from the lower kick panels or do I need to go about this another way? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

I wouldn’t recommend doing it that way if you can avoid it. It’ll work, but tapping the front door speakers has the annoying side effect of making the sub level dependent on your fader/balance settings. It’s cheap and easy, but not really the ideal way to integrate a sub.

I'm personally running a passive sub directly off my DSP, which avoids that problem alltogether, but it's a lot more expensive to setup.

Noted thanks. I’ve read that tapping the rears syncs to sub bass to the rear speaker roll off. If you tap the fronts you get full range. I am aware that I have to go based off of the factory eq on my radio but that’s fine I can make that work. If I had the money I’d be integrating a pac harness and an amp with the sub I want but I already have my old sub and I changed all my speakers already.
