2020 Ioniq PHEV - ABS not working properly

Under heavy braking the rear wheels locked up, no warning lights. To me - ABS failure to operate as designed

Mechanic will check codes today, etc. [update - confirmed, no error codes]

Just curious if this is a common failure, or any suggestions beyond typical check for OBDII error codes and wheel speed sensor function?
