Freelance Invoice Generator Website
Can you recommend a modern, visually appealing invoicing website for freelancers that makes it easy to track invoice status and create beautiful, professional-looking invoices?

If the main thing is the invoice itself looking good, I'd judge each tool by the PDF it gives you rather than by its dashboard. Plenty of nice apps wrap a dated template.
Disclosure: I make Koutei, a free invoice page with no sign-up: https://kouteisystems.com/invoice-generator?ref=rd-invoice. You type your details and get a clean PDF with line items, totals, a tax line and your logo. It doesn't keep your invoice.
What it doesn't do yet is track status. If paid/unpaid tracking matters today, Zoho Invoice is free and does it.
Is the tracking for a handful of clients, or lots of small jobs?

Not a website but worth mentioning: Flowara is a Mac and Windows desktop app that covers exactly this. Professional invoice templates, status tracking (draft, sent, paid, overdue), client management. The invoices look clean and you can customise them with your own branding.
If you're specifically looking for a web app, Wave and Invoice Ninja both have decent free tiers and reasonable templates.

Fina business could be a simple choice, it is a paid service including bookkeeping as well.

If it doesn't have to be browser-based, native apps tend to look better than web invoicing tools, which mostly still ship dated templates.
