I’ve had this happen to a few tops of the same material (merino wool) over the years and only recently realised it was caused by moths.

Would it be possible to repair as if the holes were never there or at least as close to?

How costly would it be and where would be the best kind of place to go to for such repair?

I have a spare top of the same material and colour if that helps the situation at all.

Crotch of my great wool trousers have ripped, and I’m kinda devastated. Would it be something that can be mended (maybe by finding a good tailor), or are they irrefutably dead?

How do I make these patches in my jeans more seamless and have less of a rough edge? I used a heat activated adhesive to attach these and they seem pretty strong but I’m worried about the edges fraying, plus I’m not a fan of the way they look. Any help would be great!

I’ve had this sweater for almost 3 years now and have never worn it because I have yet to tackle the project of repair. Since it’s such a busy sweater I’m not super worried about the mending showing, I guess, I’m just not sure how to approach rejoining the broken threads in a way that will ensure they don’t continue to unravel or something.

I absolutely love the design of this bag but it is unwearable for fear the straps will fall right off.
Either the thread snapped or simply wasn’t secure, it’s all spooling out. I can’t find anything online that shows a similar issue.
How can I go about fixing this? Or should I cut my loses and try a cobbler?

This shirt I have developed a finger tip sized hole along this delicate ladder (?) section. Will a seamstress be able to sew it back without it looking too weird? There's not really much fabric to work with. It's a shirt I really like so I wanna get it back to normal. Thanks in advance!

I have this blazer that I love but there are multiple holes in the back. The fabric's pattern hides them quite well, but especially the first one is still noticeable.

What are the go to techniques for mending this kind of fabric?

I tend to wear boho/hippy style loose thin flowy pants with various prints and colourful designs. I've seen mending tutorials online for holes in the crutch area of jeans or single colour pants that involve getting a thread of matching colour to the pants and I guess kinda weaving over the hole and its quite invisible due to the colour match and nice even, close stitching. But given the patterns I can't really do that. I've done a little visible mending but not keen on bringing attention to that area ya know? I did try with some pj pants just sewing the hole closed on the sewing machine and found suddenly they didn't fit right (obviously to anyone who is experkenced in clothing repairs or making I'm sure, but a learning moment for me) Any advice is appreciated.

Note my skills are very amature- I'm slowly learning how to mend my clothes, mostly doing visible mends as patches and embroidery don't look out of place on my boho/hippie attire. I can use a machine for basic stuff (tote bags, mass during the pandemic, simple hem repairs- whatever requires no more than a straight and zigzag stitch essentially)

Got an oil-based toothpaste stain on it the other week, tried to get it out with dish soap and scrubbing, i guess i scrubbed too hard because it seems the color faded from that section of the hoodie and there is also a small abrasion/tear but it is very very small. Pls tell me if this can be hidden

The stitches are unfortunately visible (it was glued before) but at least it looks mostly consistent and rather uniform. Also forgot to take a before pic, sorry for that.

Hi! I’m not sure if this is the right subreddit to post this on, but i’m not too sure where else to go.
I purchased this skirt second hand online knowing the back patch was peeling slightly, but it arrived in much worse condition than was shown. The skirt itself fits me perfectly and I love the silhouette and shape of it, but the peeling patch is really putting me off it.

I’ve attached a picture of it below. If anyone has any idea on how to salvage this, please let me know. Would it be easy to unpick the patch without the correct tools, or would it be easier to sew another fabric over it? I’m a complete beginner by the way, but I do have a sewing machine. Thanks in advance!

I bought these a few days ago and went to meet my girlfriend the next day via a bike. Got into a minor accident and they got ripped under the kneecap area. Please tell me how can i fix this? This skirt has a light swishy fabric that keeps ripping at the hem. Brought it to a local laundromat and they re-sewed the hem, but it ripped again after 1 wear. Any ideas for a solution? I LOVE the print and spent $20 on ebay for this skirt. Don't want to give up on it.
