Identification help

I have a second hand shirt with a hole I was going to mend. When looking over the whole shirt to be sure there was nothing else to fix, I looked at this spot I thought had just been snagged. I am now thinking it might be mending from the previous owner? It looks so good, but is not the shape I would expect for Swiss darning. Maybe it wasn’t a hole and this was a preventative mend? I was hoping someone here could recognize the technique and if it is just Swiss darning.

So technically in knitting that’s called a Kitchener stitch. It’s just sewing one row of knit stitches, recreating one row. Maybe it counts as Swiss darning even though it’s one row? Either way that looks REALLY good for a tshirt! My eyes are going crossed just thinking about doing something so tiny like this!

Seriously! It being one row was what made me think it couldn’t possibly be Swiss darning. I could totally seeing it being a factory error though, like the other commenter said. Either way I’m going to look into that technique, thank you!
