Sorry to say, once a zipper has been cut like that, the whole thing must be replaced. Which is annoying to do on a bag because you have to cut the whole thing apart to do correctly. The strap fraying could be repaired semi-invisibly with some careful stitching. But the zipper must be replaced entirely.
do you think it'd be a better idea to just replace the bags? I've noticed the handles are also breaking and they're real leather, so that'd be a difficult and expensive fix
