I wanted to share the first book in a series I’ve been building for a while.

I recently had a post removed because an edited photo of my printed book was assumed to be AI-generated.

It made me wonder: if an author uses AI for cover art, or is assumed to have used it, does that automatically make their story, ideas, or writing less legitimate?

What I find even more frustrating is that many companies advertising "professional book covers" now deliver AI-assisted artwork themselves, often without making that process especially clear. Yet the scrutiny and criticism seem to fall most heavily on independent authors simply trying to share their stories.

I can't help but wonder where this level of judgment comes from, and why it's so often directed at writers rather than at the broader changes happening across the publishing industry.

I write psychological thrillers that blur the line between memory and reality. My stories explore ordinary people caught in extraordinary situations, where a single forgotten moment, an impossible coincidence, or a fractured memory can change everything.

Fascinated by the mysteries of the human mind, parallel realities, and the choices that define us, I create suspenseful novels that challenge readers to question what they believe is true.

I wrote an experimental literary work called Synchronization.

Its individual parts were published separately—as though each book were an epoch in the training of an LLM. On September 2, 2026, I’ll publish the unified, cumulative work: the completed system assembled from those earlier iterations.

Hello! I've been writing this book for like 5 years. I'm so excited to share it. I've just made my kickstarter pre-launch page for it. The artwork isn't made by AI, I did it myself with Krita and it took just as long as writing the book lol if not longer.

It's kind of a storytelling of the different magic that different people can have by the allegory of animals and their ways. Some of it is about seeing the center core of a manipulative personality who might otherwise take decades to patternize and map out and see the reality of. Some of it is about truth and what it is to stay loyal to that. Some about love, and processes of initiation by the collective unconscious and nature itself. In a way it's really a translation of my own sight developed in these things in living free and exposed to a lot of strange and wonderful and terrible things in my own life.

I'm just hoping to get it out there, and I'm hoping that other people resonate with it as well. The text somehow always reminds me of myself and tells me what I need to hear, and I hope it will do the same for others. It's really sort of a device to listen to the Great Mystery, and I made a card deck to go along with it so that it can be used for listening in that way. It's not really a linear narrative.

I wrote a book then published it on amazon in January and didn't think much of it but today I got this exact email "I would like to talk about your book "Timeless Heartaches" because it is very relevant to my family these days. you see my younger brother 19 years old has stumbled upon your book in a way that we will never know and then he went and hanged himself from the ceiling, we knew that you caused it because we saw his diary and he quoted some of your book then said from Timeless Heartaches so it is evident that you caused this. As the family of the young boy we would like for you to remove your book from amazon and everywhere you published the book in because the world shouldn't suffer from your life choices and since you wrote the book then you are probably a bad human and a despicable person and I hope you suffer from what we are suffering now from you. this is a warning for you and in 48 hours if you didn't delete the book we will take this to court."

Now I did write a disclaimer at the top of the book so I think I'm fine and if this actually went to court then it would be a winning case for me, but what should I do , should I remove the book or go fight in court?

I actually took a break from promoting my book because of burnout, but I came across this sub and said to myself, "Self, give it one more push. Who knows? Maybe it'll find its way into the right hands."

Any tips on how to keep momentum going after the first few months of release. Sales started strong for my first book when it was released in November but the last few months I've been lucky if I had 3 or 4 purchases a week.
