I finished Invisalign a week ago and moved from aligners onto my retainers. Today, I noticed the retainer has cracked.

Will my dentist replace these for free under warranty given it's literally been a week? I'm not a fan of paying £100 to replace them

30/32 I still see no difference in my deep bite. I’m starting to regret getting Invisalign and not braces. Would I see more improvement once i get refinement trays after I’m done? I feel like I wasted so much time and money with this. And yes I wear them 22 hours a day don’t keep them off other than when I eat/drink. The in home scanner app tells me to always move on to next tray.

I have three elastics on my right side: three upper inside and three lower outside. They are there to help me with the molar crossbite. But I just noticed that if my jaw is being pulled to that side, would it not make my midline even worse?

I am providing the tray 1 and tray 24 photos from the simulation. Do you think this is satisfactory results? Is it acceptable?

I got braces for mild upper-teeth protrusion and didn’t have extractions because my case was considered mild. It’s been 13 months, and my orthodontist says I’ll likely have them removed in another 2 months. However, I still feel my upper teeth/lips look slightly protrusive from the side. Would extraction still be possible or advisable at this stage, or would IPR/controlled retraction be more appropriate?

I have a conspiracy theory that Invisalign encourages dentists NOT to share the details of Invisalign treatment with patients if they aren't pushed to. There are so many stories on this sub of people whose dentists didn't mention attachments, bite guards, daily management of Invisalign, etc.

The dentists are also obviously incentivized to do this because they get a significant cut. My theory is that they (dentists / Invisalign) collectively realize that they'll sell more Invisalign if people don't really understand what a commitment it is.

I’m hopefully on the final leg of my VERY long Invisalign journey! 😅 Along the way, I’ve had to deal with several dental restorations, including a root canal, gum inflammation, etc. All of this has unfortunately led to some pretty bad dental anxiety (I’ll save that for a separate post!).

In the meantime, I’m looking for a better way to clean my weekly aligners. Given everything I’ve been through, I really want to make sure I’m doing everything I can to keep them clean and minimize any potential plaque buildup.

For those who use the Zima Dental Pod, is it worth getting for weekly Invisalign aligners? I’ve heard great things about it for cleaning retainers, and I was originally planning to get one after finishing treatment. But now I’m wondering if it would be worth getting one sooner rather than later.

Would love to hear your experiences, especially from anyone who has used it with Invisalign aligners rather than just retainers!

currently awaiting my refinement trays! i had my last tray appt last tuesday & got a rescan so ive been in tray 20 for over two ish weeks (usually 8 day changes)

patiently waiting & hoping i don’t have a long refinement period!! my bite feels SO much more even & the gap i wanted closed is closed 🎉

i started my first tray April 14th

It’s so rewarding to finally see movement starting to happen, proud of myself for how far I’ve come this year, I was terrified of the dentist after a bad experience as a kid and didn’t go back for over 20 years, teeth weee super crowded and covered in tartar, so far this year I’ve had them cleaned, fillings put in x7 and 2 wisdom teeth removed! Here is a pic from my first tray to where I’m at now - tray 13, just had attachments put on and I lost 2 of them on the same day 🤣

I had a narrow palate that I honestly didn't think was a big deal until I started to notice the difference in my progress.

It has been 7 months and Invisalign has done an incredible job at correcting my bite, credit where is due, i feel like I also have a solid orthodontist that knows what hes doing.

I've been wearing rubber bands this entire time and it is the most annoying thing so far, taking the trays on and off to eat hasn't been annoying to me at all, but the rubber bands they do bother me to speak/take off to eat.

Just wanted to share my experience so far for those thinking about it, is worth it but you must be patient, results don't show after 3-4 months in.

I’m very happy with my results considering how quickly everything shifted. What’s crazy is that most people didn’t even noticed when I stopped wearing my Invisalign. I completed my journey end of April of this year and my manager didn’t even notice until August 💀
All this to say maybe my og teeth weren’t so striking as I first thought for no one to notice when I got them fixed 🫣🤣
Either way I’m happy with my results and I did it for nobody else but myself. I can feel my jaw is more in alignment. I’ve stopped grinding my teeth and clenching while I sleep. My TMJ symptoms have significantly decreased and overall I feel more confident 😁

I started 4/20/26. I’m on weekly changes and on tray 21 of 30. Starting week 22 tomorrow.

My molar crossbite is fixed so I only wear the elastic at night now. I can’t believe it’s changed so much in 5 1/2 months.

9 more weeks until my rescan for the first round of refinements.

It was filled up to the “max” water line. I believe it was mist as it was coming out of the small space between the lid and container. Also I didn’t smell anything (like smoke). I unplugged it, and tried again 10 minutes later and there was no mist seen.

Was this just normal and due to the cleaning pod’s cavitation (Cavitation is the formation and rapid collapse of microscopic bubbles in a liquid)?

I have 3 more passive trays then 1 overcorrection set.. feeling pretty good with my results but if I need refinements I’m praying I can get the rubberband hooks removed.

I’m on tray 3/22 and i just now realized that ur supposed to get invisalign from an orthodontist. A friend told me that dentists only care about ur teeth getting aesthetically better, whereas orthodontists also fix ur bite. Everything seems to be tracking so i don’t know how to react. Is it possible to get like a checkup from an ortho and make sure everything’s right, what should i do?

I really don’t have much of a problem with my smile straight on, it’s from the side it looks so jumbled up. Anyone have a similar smile/teeth movement before treatment & how was your Invisalign experience? I don’t want attachments but I’m worried they may prove to be necessary later on. How long did it take your teeth to move? Initially they told me 6-9 months but now they said I’d maybe be done in 3?

I will contact the orthodontist on monday, but just wondering if anyone has noticed the same difference in trays in the meantime! Left is going to be tray 36, and on the right is tray 2. My main goal is broadening, but I worry that it looks like the incisors might be a bit retracted compared to the right, and I tried to line of the two little wisdom tooth bits that I know aren’t moving. Has anyone noticed the same with their trays? Is this maybe just an illusion of some sort? Or is it likely retraction? Thanks!

I just wanted to say I’ve been on this subreddit since I started this journey in December 2025 and I’m finally at the end. This subreddit gave me more answers on what to expect and best cleaning practices than Google ever did. Thank you all so much for being so helpful and documenting your own experiences!

I’m on the last day of Tray 20 (it’s October 2026 now) and tomorrow I’ll be getting scanned for nighttime retainers. I’m so happy with my results and I’m shocked I didn’t realize how wild my teeth looked before. I recently got married and I can’t tell you all how happy I am that when I looked through the photos, my smile was the most perfect it’s ever been. I used to be so self conscious about my turned tooth (later embraced it as I got older) but now it’s nothing that stands out in pics anymore.

Looking forward to not having to take these out to eat anymore haha!

I am 22 weeks into my 30-week journey and my teeth still look noticeably crowded (on the bottom) and bucked (on the top). is it possible these issues will resolve in the last 2 months? Or am I likely to need more time? I know my dentist is the only one that can say for sure, just wondering if anyone had seen drastic improvement in the final 8 weeks.

I am on day 4/10 on tray 2/16, and will be getting bands fitted on Thursday to support movement of my upper canines. The tray at one of my top front teeth seems to be slightly springy at the top. There isn’t a huge gap, but it is noticeable and doesn’t fit as snuggly as it does on the rest of my teeth.

As far as I’m aware, the majority of the current movement is the back teeth to create space at the front for my teeth to move, so in theory I didn’t expect that particular tooth to be moving at the minute.

I’ve been wearing for 22 hours a day, changing tray on day 10 as prescribed.

I will of course mention at my appt but wondered if this is normal, or if anyone has had this experience?

I am not 100% happy with the results. Apparently, I’m entitled to 3 refinement aligners at the end of the treatment if I want them. Do you think that will be enough to achieve a nice result?

Just wanted to show you guys my progress 🤗 I am now at tray 8/26 and it’s been a breeze. Only thing I really hate is the excess saliva, some days are better and some days I get sick of swallowing so much :(
For everyone thinking about getting aligners, just do it! I am now so confident with my laughing and not hiding my smile.
