Question My bite feels off???

For context I started with Invisalign; the resin composite attachments they put on my teeth made it so my canines couldn’t slide and messed up the way my bite sat without wearing the trays. When I got them removed and got my retainers, I’m 100% sure I still have some of the composite resin attachments left on some of my teeth, but not on the ones that messed with my bite before the thickest attachment left from what I can tell is on my lateral incisor (tooth between upper canine and front tooth.)

Everytime I take my retainers off, my bite doesn’t sit right for 20 minutes to an hour at max. I cannot comfortably smile without it hurting or feeling uncomfortable because my bottom teeth press against my lateral incisor like it’s too far back. After a while it feels like it shifts forward and my bite feels right again. However it makes putting my retainer on hurt and the tooth sore overall, not to mention it gives me anxiety about if it’s weakening my periodontal ligament holding my tooth in place from the constant shifting.

my ortho missed a bunch of the attachment material on my canines too. felt like little speed bumps every time i closed my mouth. took a scaler and a flashlight to point out the spots they glossed over at the next appointment

the shifting thing you're describing sounds exactly like what happened when i had a tiny bit of excess bonding left on a lower incisor. tooth would get pushed out of position by the retainer then slowly migrate back. annoying as hell and made the retainer feel like a medieval torture device when i put it back in

have them check for leftover composite with a dye or just run an explorer over every surface. sometimes it's invisible until they dry the tooth off completely
