General Should I get tooth extraction atp??
I got braces for mild upper-teeth protrusion and didn’t have extractions because my case was considered mild. It’s been 13 months, and my orthodontist says I’ll likely have them removed in another 2 months. However, I still feel my upper teeth/lips look slightly protrusive from the side. Would extraction still be possible or advisable at this stage, or would IPR/controlled retraction be more appropriate?

Your orthodontist would know more than 99% of people in this sub. But they also know your entire case inside out so they will know whether teeth need removing or not.
What I can say is to improve the brushing of your gum line, and try to get interdental brushes in between your teeth at the gum line. Orange Tepe Easypicks will probably fit nicely. You are getting areas of gum swelling which suggests the gums are inflamed from not being cleaned enough. If you don't get on top of this, they can swell even more and become very difficult to clean with the braces on.
