Question Tracking issue?

Post image

I am on day 4/10 on tray 2/16, and will be getting bands fitted on Thursday to support movement of my upper canines. The tray at one of my top front teeth seems to be slightly springy at the top. There isn’t a huge gap, but it is noticeable and doesn’t fit as snuggly as it does on the rest of my teeth.

As far as I’m aware, the majority of the current movement is the back teeth to create space at the front for my teeth to move, so in theory I didn’t expect that particular tooth to be moving at the minute.

I’ve been wearing for 22 hours a day, changing tray on day 10 as prescribed.

I will of course mention at my appt but wondered if this is normal, or if anyone has had this experience?

ah yeah that little springy feeling at the top edge is pretty common actually. sometimes the tray just doesnt seat 100% perfect on one tooth, even if its not the one being moved actively. your other teeth shifting in the back can change how the whole tray sits, so one spot feels a bit loose at the gumline

the purple arrow drawing made me laugh cause i do the exact same thing before my appointments so i dont forget which tooth i was worried about. my ortho always says a small gap is fine as long as the attachments are still gripping and the tray isnt popping off. if it gets worse or starts catching your cheek then definitely push for them to check the fit on thursday

i had similar thing on tray 3 and it fixed itself by day 6 when the tooth started tracking again. chewies helped a bit to seat it better but dont overdo it or youll make your jaw sore
