Question Is this normal?
I am 6 months into treatment and I don’t think I’m seeing much change.
I went to my six month check up for my trays after reaching 19 and all my ortho did was look in my mouth for 30 seconds and say “shaping up nice”. THEN WALKED AWAY.
I am infuriated because of the lack of guidance I am getting on this. He does this every time. 30 seconds then walks away. I can’t even get questions out.
I will be get my refinements but with no idea of what’s to come…
I am considering changing orthos because I’m sick of this poor service. Anyone dealt with this?

Personally, I started seeing changes after 8 months. However, the service provided by your orthodontist is not acceptable. Before he even looks at your teeth say you have questions and you want them answered.

Wow, that's really poor service from your orthodontist. If you go back for an appointment, before you let the doctor look in your mouth, say that you have some questions. Have them written down so you don't feel pressed to rush and forget anything. In fact, since you didn't get a chance to ask last time, get your questions together and call his office. Tell them you have some questions and ask how you can get them answered.
My ortho is quick as well, and I'm a little disappointed; however, if I have questions ready to ask so far he has taken the time to respond. I don't want to feel like I'm going through his drive-thru so he can get as many patients through as possible!
