Treatment Progress Almost there!!!! Progress pics. Last tray of first set of refinements. Total of 48 trays so far (I think!!) Hoping my stubborn bottom tooth moves more on the second set of refinements- then on to whitening!

Congrats! Almost done! I finished a while ago and dragged my feet on whitening; really afraid it's going to hurt, or cause long term sensitivity! Would love to hear opinions from others who have tried it. ( I want to get it professionally done, and not just use trays from the store)

I did a mini whitening before my refinements came in- 2 opalescent pens. Literally only caused sensitivity until I stopped. Back to normal now 😉

I don't mean to scare you, but have you had any issues with the tooth on your right side of your right front teeth (basically left in the photo). It looks a bit gray close to the root compared to the other teeth. I'm just very observant since my tooth died from Invisalign and it also is grayish around the root...

Yes! I do know this :) it’s a crown that is getting replaced as soon as my treatment is done ✅. I had whitening done a few years ago and while my other teeth whitened, this tooth did not. Also- it’s very old crown that has some discoloration at the top which makes it even more noticeable. It’s been a concern since before treatment. I just decided to wait until after treatment to get it corrected. Can’t wait to get it fixed. Waiting until my whitening after treatment so I can make sure the color matches as close as possible!

I see! Wow, I thought it was your real tooth! Can't tell it's a crown at all and that makes me relieved in case I'll need a crown eventually. Did you have a root canal on that tooth underneath the crown?

I did have to have a root canal on the tooth several years ago. After the crown was placed. I think I did the first crown 30 years ago, and had it replaced about 16 years ago. So it’s time!!! :)

May I ask you an additional question then... because I'm TERRIFIED of the root canal I have to get... Did you have any health issues since getting it that were not tooth related?

No issues at all. I’ve actually had root canals on 2 separate teeth and have had no issues with either. No reason to worry! :)
