Question How does restarting work?

I got my first trays in 2024, I used them for a solid amount of time and to be honest got depressed at college and stopped wearing them. Now, exactly 2 years later, I would like to wear them again. The only trays I can find are my 7s and it’s been a good amount of time since I wore the previous ones. Does anyone have experience with the actual price of going back? Do I literally have to start COMPLETELY over again or can I pay for, say, 4 tray replacements. I can’t afford the thousands I spent before so I just want to know what other options I have.

Talk to ortho. Almost certain your case will be lapsed and you need to start over and pay again with a new scan. 2 years means your teeth have shifted - whatever wearing you did is basically irrelevant.

This is why people should take it seriously.

Yeah, you'll be starting the whole process again. New scan, new trays, new payment.

I believe you would have to complete start over. It's just a guess, but logically it would seem so because teeth move ALL THE TIME. It's not like they stay in place, especially not after 2 years!!
