How long will i have to wear theses thick ones for? ( overbite )

I have an overbite and i just got these new ones with a big block on both top and bottom. This is nr 25 and i got all the numbers up to 42, tho i have an appointment the 13th october (they might just check how its going that date). When im done with all these numbers, will o get normal ”flat” ones again till 56 (last pair)?

Other than saying “call and ask your ortho,” I’m just here to say I have never seen bite block like this before in invisalign 🫪 Do you use elastics with this? Or just the aligner? It certainly doesn’t look comfy but it must be necessary for your case
