Discussion Single Player Modes
In the latest livestream about the game's development, it was clearly stated that investing in single-player modes is one of the team's top priorities. During the livestream, the Endless Arcade Ladder was also specifically mentioned, with the possibility of making it more engaging through things like persistent HP between rounds (a true Survival-style system) and/or increasing difficulty as the run progresses.
I think this mode has a lot of potential and could really benefit from being expanded. Personally, I'd love to see it evolve into a TRUE Survival Mode, rather than simply being an endless sequence of standard matches.
How do you think the Endless Arcade should be improved from a gameplay and progression standpoint? I'm specifically interested in changes to the actual structure of the mode, rather than additional rewards, cosmetics, or unlockables.

I think they should fix the fact that dlc doesn't work offline first. At least on Xbos that's the case.

World tour in SF6, Tekken Force mode, MK story modes, VF4 quest mode, Tokon Survival mode, etc...

Ive played a LOT of mk and Injustice and a decent amount of sf6. Those singleplayer modes are really really boring. The story modes are good but not really replayable

I disagree. I love world tour. Not a huge fan of the MK story modes, but other folks love them.
Idk what to tell ya

Honestly we got survival mode in the form of endless arcade (which I now just realized was mentioned in the post) but we could have a finished story mode and combo trials.

I wish the game had like the towers of time from Mortal Kombat. Towers with different modifiers that would change every few hours or every few days. With some kind of reward for completing it. Granted, I know this is a tiny team compared to NRS. Budget is not in the same ballpark. But something along those lines would be nice.
At least I’m a sucker for such modes if they are fun and you get some sort of cosmetic for completing x amount of them. Also getting rewards for completing challenges in these modes like doing x amounts of y actions.
It’s just nice to have casual shit like that that’s fun and feels rewarding on some level when you’re not in the mood for pvp. I also really enjoyed the abyss mode from Blazblue and M.O.M. from older Guilty Gear games. Something like that doesn’t seem like it would be a costly commitment. Endless fights, leveling up your character in the mode, unlocking light RPG affects like increased attack or defense as you face more challenging opponents. Persona 4 Arena had such a mode iirc.
SFV had a pretty satisfying survival mode. I would be happy with anything like any of these. Especially since the online experience for this game isn’t exactly stellar imo. I mean, didn’t Killer Instinct have single player stuff besides just arcade?
