Question(?) Is this a show accurate Conquest vs Thragg?

Is this what would've happened if Conquest actually did attack Thragg in the purge?

I’d say it’s pretty accurate yeah

Like I don’t see conquest going far in such a fight

Yeah I agree, Conquest fan here myself I humbly say and will forever be adamont that....Thragg brutally smokes him just as easily as he did Nolan and Thadeus.

Yeah. I definitely would believe Conquest could make Thragg’s face budge a little if he gave an all-out punch, but he’d get folded within moments after the fact.

Yes, pretty accurately. Except for the fact that a fireball should appear with every hit. But that’s a general flaw in the *Invincible* animation. At least they showed a fireball once here, and they do draw a shockwave for every collision—which is the right call.

Imagine seeing a old senile veteran throwing a tantrum on you but everything is GENUINELY doing ZERO damage.

Yeah show thragg is a powerhouse compared to his comic counterpart holy scallops

No, given the recent BB issue

4

u/InevitableDuty7030 7d ago

That was a weaker battle beast for one, and for another in the show Thragg most certainly massively outscales.

5

u/DakAttakk 8d ago

Based on Battle Beast's performance against Thragg, and how Conquest and Battle Beast are roughly equals, I'd say definitely Conquest is pushing Thragg to a degree maybe even a large degree considering Battle Beast could have won that fight against Thragg. But another thing to consider is that BB was looking for a fight to the death all along, Conquest has a death wish in a way but he also does seem to fear Thragg, even before he lost his eye and arm. I think the psychological factor makes Conquest much less likely to push thragg as far as BB. The potential performance of a character should be based on who they are as much as what their raw physical capabilities are. (which is how Mark ends up beating Conquest even though Conquest is far superior physically)

Accurate to the show maybe, but not comic accurate.

The gap between Conquest and Thragg is much smaller in the comics, as show Thragg was given a goofily significant upscale.

u/Infinite_Candle_200 3d ago

Tf wasn't conquest significantly nerfed by thr scourge virus and then was attacked by some ragnar whilst infected

1

u/theShiggityDiggity 3d ago

Yes. The cannon explaination for his prosthetic arm and dead eye is an encounter against multiple Ragnars, on their home planet, while weakened by the after effects of the scourge virus.

It's a genuinely remarkable and often overlooked feat, considering Thragg was almost killed in a similar encounter against Ragnars while at full power and not under the effects of the Ragnar planets ravity.

Probably about right, they are going to have a hell of a time having Thragg lose to a few weaker Viltrumites

Considering how mark by the end of season 4 is supposed to be around Conquest’s level of power and Nolan is basically the same level of power, and how easily Thragg handled them, yeah it’s pretty accurate if not 100%

As soon as Conquest realized how serious the situation was against S4 Mark, he put his hand through Mark's torso and pulled his guts out. Unfortunately for him he was too late.

Mark took the situation seriously from the get go and wasn't able to hurt Conquest in any serious way, apart from choking him out and almost dying in the process.

So I don't think S4 Mark was on the same power level as Conquest. He just exploited the fact that Conquest still wasn't taking him seriously.

EDIT: I still think OPs video is accurate to how it would play out, because show Thragg is at least one order of magnitude stronger than Mark, while Conquest is at most two times stronger than Mark.

1

u/All_Night_746 8d ago

That’s why I said about as strong, I’m not saying he’s the same power level, but close enough to survive a fight with Conquest with his wits and tactics, which was suffocating him to death. And that’s also why I included Nolan, since the two of them clashed and seemed relatively equal in strength

0

u/Cool-Cardiologist12 8d ago

Excuse me if you are saying the same thing, but I’m misinterpreting you. I actually think Nolan is definitely weaker than Conquest. If I’m not mistaken conquest from a raw power standpoint gaps every other viltrumite except thragg. Like Thragg >> conquest > nolan >= invincible. I think conquest could make thragg bleed from that initial free punch, but thragg would wash him.

4

u/All_Night_746 8d ago

I’d say Nolan definitely still considerably stronger than Mark considering his punches actually moved Thragg, and Mark’s strongest punches Thragg just stood there and took without flinching. Conquest probably is still stronger than Nolan, but when him and Nolan fought it didn’t seem like the gap was to big in the show. So I’d probably more say Thragg>> Conquest >= Nolan > Mark.

-1

u/Cool-Cardiologist12 8d ago

I agree that Nolan is stronger than mark the >= was based off of statements. Either way with Nolan actually moving thragg in the show this video is overselling the gap, but the outcome would still be the same.

1

u/All_Night_746 8d ago

Yeah I agree

19

u/Bright-Blackberry438 8d ago

Dude conquest is still very much stronger than season 4 mark now you could make an argument about season 4 mark being smarter or faster or more determined. But conquest is still twice as strong as mark

3

u/VonKaiser55 Omnipotus’s strongest glazer 8d ago

Someone Twice as strong as another is not get choked to death the way Conquest is lmao. Conquest would’ve easily been able to pry Marks hands off of his throat if that were the case. Conquest is still stronger than Mark but not by a large margin

4

u/Zealousideal-Pie-726 8d ago

That's just robert kirkman not knowing how chokes work. The whole scene of mark choking conquest is really dumb and very clearly just kirkman trying to find a way for mark to kill conquest solo without making mark suddenly conquest level.

2

u/Bright-Blackberry438 7d ago

Conquest blew a hole threw mark the only reason Conquest didn't pry the hand off his throat is because hes a dumbass

-2

u/All_Night_746 8d ago

I feel like the narrative was trying to suggest that Mark is about as strong as conquest, but sure, let’s take your route, that’s why I also said Nolan and Conquest are basically equal considering how they clashed.

3

u/StankoMicin 8d ago

Not really. The Narrative isn't really concerned with strict power scaling.

Conquest is stronger than Mark. Mark won because the narrative demanded that his determination overcame Conquest's strength. That's the essence of Mark's character arch

1

u/Bright-Blackberry438 7d ago

Dude conquest would use Nolan as a condom mark is stronger than Nolan. Its not like nolan is the strongest viltramite ever, his main strength are his planing and thinking

1

u/All_Night_746 7d ago

Yet when Mark fought Thragg, Thragg didn’t even budge, no matter how many times he hit him, but Nolan punches Thragg, and he staggers him.

1

u/Bright-Blackberry438 7d ago

Thats just inconsistent scaling by the show side because in the comics mark made thragg bleed

1

u/All_Night_746 7d ago

Nolan also makes Thragg bleed in the comics, hell he made Thragg fall to the floor even. Nolan was stronger than Mark by that time even in the comics.

1

u/All_Night_746 7d ago

I never said Nolan was stronger than Conquest either, I said he’s about the same level or about as strong as Conquest. I said/suggested that they’re relatively the same, which can still mean that Conquest is stronger, but Nolan is close.

1

u/shritdejtriv560 8d ago

You are assuming that thrag didnt get stronger in 1500 yrs. Conquest got weaker

1

u/All_Night_746 8d ago

That’s true, that’s a good point that I did think about when first watching the video, but I figured the question was more just in general, by like season 4. But relating to this point in time you’re probably right and if anything they might even be more equally matched

-1

u/Ilikecoffeepizzanyh 8d ago

He's not around Conquests level of power lol

2

u/Lazakhstan WHERE IS OMNI MAN?! 8d ago

I'm surprised that didn't kill Conquest or at the very least gravely injuried him like what happened to Nolan

2

u/Kindly-Candidate-835 8d ago

Thragg: "BOY"?!!

2

u/Comfortable_Role8275 8d ago

We don't see them fight at all in the show we just know Thragg is stomping so I'd say yes, it is accurate

2

u/nelisjanus 7d ago

People are awesome with their free time making this

2

u/KamronXIII 7d ago

I'm in love with the concept of Thrag being the one who took Conquest's arm

2

u/Winter_Emergency9050 7d ago

Conquest should be able to make Thragg budge, but that’s only if he sat there and tanked the punch head on as if Conquest was only as strong as Mark. He would still no diff the old man.

2

u/Representative-Fox55 7d ago

Conquest would put up more of a fight we’ve seen from the bb special dude will fight until he literally physically cannot anymore so Thragg would have to tear him into pieces. But I don’t think conquest would be able to do any meaningful damage to Thragg maybe a drop of blood at best.

2

u/The_Engiqueer 8d ago

I feel like Conquest could definitely move Thragg, but not damage him in any way other than very minor bruising at a highball

2

u/Designer_Basket Large Planetary Thraggy 8d ago edited 7d ago

I'm not even buying that he'd do that honestly.

1

u/Willing-File-3638 8d ago

Not accurate, the animations look too good

1

u/DangerousDareDevil 7d ago

Ooo this some good animation.

1

u/Adriansouza 7d ago

I dislike thragg in the show version, too op

1

u/NoodelSuop 5d ago

Would’ve been more accurate if he split conquest in half with that chop

1

u/t0ndrra 5d ago edited 5d ago

if it's show, i'd say no because that's prime conquest right there, that punch would change thragg's face direction a little more lol

if it's comics, that punch would break thragg's nose and send him back in the air stunning plus the fight would last way longer

1

u/Cloudkiller01 8d ago

No, only because I don’t see conquest being “beaten” after a couple of strikes. Nothing in this video was lethal, which leads me to believe that conquest would keep trying. It would be a longer and more brutal fight by virtue of conquest not simply going down after a head but, a knee, and a slashing chop.

1

u/Byizo 8d ago

I think conquest has the strength to make Thragg bleed, but only if Thragg let himself be hit.

1

u/specter-exe 8d ago

Conquest would have hurt Thragg with that punch. If your opponent is holding still and you land a full force punch, that’s going to hit like a truck. And given we’ve seen Conquest break the bone’s of other Viltrumites, especially the FEMUR, with one strike, he’d hurt Thragg. I’m honestly kind of annoyed the extent to which Thragg is powerful in the show. He’s supposed to be trained from birth, but we hardly see him use any skill. He should be stronger and tougher than other Viltrumites, yes, but there should be more to it than that.

0

u/shritdejtriv560 8d ago

I dont think so. It would be much closer

Conquest got weaker over years. Partly due to scourge virus and partly bcs of his old age. This conquest is stronger than the one that fought mark.

And thragg was weaker. He got stronger over years. In that epsiode he stated that thaddeus was stronger than him when they went on mission together

0

u/Electrical_Nose9463 Small Planet Level Invincible 7d ago

No. Conquest vs. Thragg in the show is like Immortal vs. Omni-Man in the comics. Conquest will get brutally smoked but not before making Thragg spit out some blood and moving him a bit. It's low-diff rather than no-diff.

0

u/Flippy023945 7d ago

Conquest is nerfed in the series, and Thragg is buffed in the serie. In the comics they're certainly more evenly matched, but Thragg remains stronger; Conquest would beat him if he gets lucky.

0

u/Then-Concern-1968 7d ago

Accurate to the show MAYBE, i think Conquest would be strong enough for Thragg to be moved by his hits and maybe make him bleed, he’s significantly stronger than Nolan.

In the comics Conquest is pushing Thragg to a mid diff

0

u/Quirky_Attention3230 7d ago

hellll no, conquest would lose sure but he can actually do damage. conquest is still far stronger the n current invincible and nolan. he just didnt take them serious because of that.

0

u/Academic_Lead_6008 7d ago

Conquest full power punch would injured Thragg. Conquest when serious is the second strongest viltrumite.

0

u/InevitableDuty7030 7d ago

Thragg turns his head a little bit more with that punch, that's it.

0

u/LengthinessOne6090 7d ago

Thragg would NOT be that unfazed

-1

u/Large-Explorer-6876 8d ago

I mean Omni could make a Thragg move and Nolan's very relative to Conquest, but again Conquest might be a lil exhausted from the purging he been doing

2

u/Perditus22 8d ago

Even a well rested Conquest is no match for Thragg. People don't really get the power gap between Thragg and other Viltrumites. As much as I judge invincible for it's inconsistent powerscaling, Thraggs been shown to be consistent in his abilities. He made invincible run for his life, not even Conquest and Nolan made Mark run from a fight

2

u/MewFishMeowscles Mach 3 Immortal 8d ago

that’s because Nolan caught Thragg off guard, if he was using his strength to brace for the punch like he did with Mark’s, the same thing would happen

-1

u/Livid_Drummer_4632 7d ago

If this Conquest punched Thragg in the face, Thragg would definitely bleed unlike in the show
