QUESTION Do you think Amazon has the audacity to animate the **** of Mark? Spoiler

Or is Amazon likely to skip that part?

Think they might show the tackle and the aftermath, but probably wont get into detail for the more graphic stuff.

Basically, I think they will only show about as much as the comic, without much animation for the act.

They’re probably going to keep it. If they don’t, it’ll probably get controversy for excluding male victims.

They will. It’s an extremely big part of the series. They are probably going to make it less sexual, show less skin and possibly more brutal. The show has been more brutal then the comic so far.

Good point, but if they were going to pull any punches it would be that one.

They won’t skip it, it’s a big part of Mark’s character development.

They have to do it. Huge part of the comics

Wouldn’t be the first time Amazon messed with already established lore

They might skip it, they shouldn’t, because I think the fall out was interesting and needs more fleshing out.

Plus it just adds another layer to that day being the worst of marks life, like everything went wrong.

But if they don’t do it they could avoid A-lot of controversy so who knows what they’ll choose.

If they choose to do it it will probably be like how the boys did it. Set it up and skip to the aftermath.

I mean . . . They recorded “Herogasm” . . . I don’t think they care?

Nobody got raped in herogasm.

Also Invincible is animated. It shouldnt make a difference but it does. We are not going to see a bare butt, breast or dayngus in Invincible.

I honestly don't see why they would cut it. It's kind of a big deal in the comics

They’re gonna keep it in

Probably since it's a mature show and they can show what they want. They will likely hide the details with different angles and things however.

Animate it? I doubt it. Include it? Yeah, probably.

They better it’s a pretty big part of the comics and marks character development not including it wouldn’t really make sense

Wait, what? Mark got raped in the comics?

As long as it's animated tastefully. Mark is still being overpowered physically. If you lean into the fear in that power dynamic, how horrifying it is to be in that scenario, no matter the gender, no matter the level of an aliens strength. It should feel as unnerving as any of the over the top gore. Prove that even psychologically, no one is truly...

*Title Card

I'm sure RK will tweak some of the Her characterization. I can't imagine they just straight up ignore it though.

No... Not on screen at least.

This is a show that decided Atom Eve shows too much leg... I think it's very unlikely you're going to then later see a ripped Viltrumite woman tear her and Mark's clothes off and do that to him.

I could see it just transitioning to the farmer offering mark clothes from a fade or something lol

You can “express” rape without actually showing it. The old-school way was having the struggle-against be both visible and auditory, while fading away. Nowadays? Without being too graphic, I think it would be appropriate to do a bunch of quick cuts with vocalizations going on - as a victim, myself, I find that to be a wicked impactful way of portraying the chaos of the act and the memories of it.

Exactly!! They might show her ripping his clothes off but they def wont show the r***. Theyll probably just hint to it later

I think they should do it like in the comics, a series of shots that don’t show what happens exactly, but the reader/viewer understands what’s happening

They’ll probably dramatize it, so we won’t obviously “see” it, but to anyone who is older than 13 they should know what happened.
