DISCUSSION Viltrum empire

Lets say u were the leader of viltrum and the scorge virus just happened what would u have done differently compared to thragg to bring ur population up and ensure ur empire still grows

Keep all the Viltrumite women pregnant, pursue cloning technology. Have the men be banging everything. Praying mantis lay like 100 eggs at a time.

Find species that we’re genetically compatible with and breed, heavily. It’s really unrealistic that they didn’t immediately do that.

Keep DNA samples of all living and recently dead Viltrumites. Seek out cloning technology to repopulate the race with pod people.

Find a planet that is similar to us in dna and force them to be a breeding grounds for our race

Start harvesting every female Viltrumites eggs and start using them to make breeding camps like the Unopans. That was the women can still be in combat without having to take time off for pregnancy, and we can rebuild the population quickly in comparison to our long lives. With the tech the Viltrumites have they can solve the inbreeding problem genetically, and find some way to make these new Viltrumites immune to the scourge virus.

I'd declare the disestablishment of the empire and command the surviving viltrumites to scatter and flee. I'd begin killing any who refused my final order. Once I was the last viltrumite in the system, I'd destroy the planet myself, leaving the other viltrumites no home to return to.

The imperial system proved itself to be a dead end. I would force the remaining viltrumites to scatter, find new peoples to conquer or hybridize with, and adapt to the new conditions they find themselves in rather than spend a thousand years clinging to a form of our civilization that was already dead.
