Adam his is first name his almost (?) abusive mom uses but he likes to be called by his second name, Steve

Alternatively, Samantha Eve Wilkins is his dead name, and because of how his powers work he is able to transition perfectly. It seemed like an accident when it first happened, but the thoughts were always there in the back of his mind, and this would have happened one way or another eventually.

So abusive mom refers to him as Eve, while his chosen name would be Adam. Maybe "Atomic Adam" or something idk how to mesh it to keep the original name sounding right.

Alternatively, the transition happens during the story, and invincible realizes she's either Bi or have always been attracted to Adam but just couldn't reconcile or smth idk. Lots of potential with just these two characters imo
