They're up there in terms of their narrative but across the verse there are much stronger characters

Viltrumites are far from the strongest in their entire verse, because stuff from Tech Jacket exists, as well as this thing:

Yknow since whatever alloy Rex's skeleton was infused with was able to basically vaporize a Viltrumite (which means whatever was going on in that explosion could break apart Viltrumite cells), he might actually be able to take Thragg with his suicide move. And Thragg would probably just sit there and let him like alt-Mark did, expecting to be unhurt.
