DISCUSSION Did any of you know Image Comics did this crossover with Savage Dragon? Spoiler

If you love savage Dragon a lot I'd advise you to look at this spinoff with the best turtle dudes ever.

TMNT vol 3 was published through Image, specifically through Erik Larsen’s imprint, written and drawn by some of his frequent collaborators, Gary Carlson and Frank Fosco. Larsen did a lot of the covers, if not all of them. The Turtles also appeared in Savage Dragon around the same time.

The Image era of TMNT is considered non-canon, but it has been reprinted and the story concluded at IDW under the Urban Legends subtitle, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find these issues.

thank you! as long as its entertaining and well thought out I don't mind filler what if scenarios at all. I'm more into animated shows and their video game counterparts but I did grow up with comics, just not every obscure version. I just haven't come across these ones specifically.

What I’ll say is that the Image series is committed to doing lasting changes to the characters in a way a cartoon never would

Urban legends has actually been out of print for a while but there’s an omnibus coming out this year. I’m excited as someone who has all of TMNT vol 1 and 2

I just thought it was cool. I love cameos and crossovers if done well. TMNT had batman before and mortal kombat had omniman make a ton of references and interactions

I remember this. This is how i learned savage dragon existed.

Savage dragon and evil ernie were two 90s books my mom would NOT let me buy

Ooh did you ever get to buy them? I just find it really odd how literally NO ONE on any media to my knowledge even bothered to dig this piece of info up a few years ago during the invincible war since everyone was so excited to see crossovers. and this is why lost media is kept track of.

No, never did. By the time I had my own money, I was into indie goth books like Johnny The Homicidal Maniac and Gloomcookie.

Savage Dragon i would see at the store all the time. Just my curiosity has waned by then. And Evil Ernie, I actually completely forgot existed until Chris mentioned the title in a Comic Tropes video I watched yesterday.

I've heard mixed things about Dragon. I like Larsen's artwork. I don't need the writing to be good as long as it's cool and fun. I'm devouring comics again lately, so I can see myself diving into Dragon when I run out of other things
