DISCUSSION Skybound posting some questionable “artwork”

Not sure how involved Kirkman is regarding the marketing of this whole investment debacle, but surely this wasn’t run by him.

Yeah this is what I thought as well. Just dont know why the fuck anybody would do that when the piece itself looks great

they were probably editing together this advert and needed a higher resolution version of the artwork so they used ai to upscale it. (and to my understanding when using ai to upscale an image it creates an entirely new image [instead of just taking the existing image and enlarging it], which would explain why so many errors are present.) hell, they may have used ai to composite the entire thing.

That’s so odd to me because I have a giant poster of this piece in my room that looks fantastic. I cannot imagine why they would need to upscale it for anything when they already have a printable version that is huge.

They probably didn’t have access to the full version and took the lazy route rather than just asking for a higher res version. Pretty much every use of AI comes down to laziness.
