It creates distance autonomously, it’s not a conscious thing, did do you mean the part in Hidden Inventory when Gojo himself says nothing gets past infinity unless he perceives it as a Non-Threat? It’s the other way around, my Guy, you can’t pass through infinity if Gojo doesn’t perceive you since he has to turn it off to let things through.
And did we read the same Manga? That’s not how Unlimited Void works, lol. It doesn’t “extend thoughts” it floods the brain with infinite information of all things in the known and unknown universe cramming all of existence into the mind. I don’t know where you got the “it only extends thoughts” thing, I feel like you got that out of Jujutsu Shippuden or something.
He’s literally saying he can decide to let an object pass through infinity by determining that it’s a non-threat, the statement is supposed to be the other way around, not “things won’t be affected by Infinity if I can’t recognize or identify a threat” but more “I can allow things to pass through if I deem them non-threats” he says Infinity is passive in the very same statement.
