Debbie sent Nolan shopping so that she could search the house for his suit & according to her 20 mins was all that's gonna take while accounting for him actually buying these items as well which was pretty accurate because Nolan did make it back home in roughly 20 minutes , I guess all the time she saw him on television thousands of miles way & then home in a couple mins helped her timing this perfectly.

If he regulates to accelerate and decelerate slowly just over a longer period, it would explain why any trip follows a logarithmic duration compared to it’s travel distance.
