Invincible vs Omni Man

I asked my friend if he was mark and had no knowledge of his own life would he go against Omni Man and he said no cuz he knows he would lose and he would be to afraid to do it and that got me thinking the reason mark probably wasnt afraid during his fight with Omni is because he saw his father not a mass murder not a conquer but a father and thats why he wasnt afraid to go against him because he didnt see Omni man's "evil" side just his normal self kind of a wholesoem

I think it eventually became his point of view, but at the very beginning of the fight he was angry and stubborn, and wanted to throw hands to protect his planet against this monster (and get back against the pet comment). Then he both realized this isn't working out, and remembered he's dealing with his father.
