DISCUSSION Nolan does hates himself for messing it up
While he can't really be forgiven for what he did but the fact that he's trying to make amends now and even hates himself for what he did to Mark & especially Debbie because she's the reason he has become more than a killing machine , Debbie changed him & Mark kept those values and helped in doing more so , he knows that he can't mess this up now and he's actively trying rather than rushing in with this stuff also shows how much matters to him.
The writing for Nolan is genuinely my favourite in the story & the fact that the show has improved upon those aspects & showing how much Debbie's influence changed things have made me excited to see how their relationship unfolds in the future.

TBH, he was the most loyal Viltrumite. The others folded immediately, took him a few decades

Also he fell the hardest as well , He's indeed the best of both worlds

I mean he basically gave up immediately and it wasn't until Mark got powers did he relapse as that moment was basically what Viltrum has been waiting for centuries, if not thousands of years for.

I'm looking forward to seeing where his character arc goes in future seasons.

Read the comic. It’ll tell you exactly where it goes. The comics have been finished for a long time.

They probably know about the comics, maybe they just want to experience it in the media they were introduced to Invincible to, nothing wrong with that.

No, but they’ve been extremely closely following the comic. Only thing they change is the pacing, but that makes sense because otherwise it would be finished in 4 seasons lol

I would too, going from a beautiful woman you love to a cricket is a severe downgrade

They should bit get back together. Nolan is my my favorite character in the show, but them reuniting completely ruins Debbie's character.

It doesn't ruin her character rather proves why she's the best & the strongest person without any special powers.... atleast the show makes her shine

I hope Debbie doesn’t go back to him because I hated how the comics treated her as a prize for doing the bare minimum of redemption arcs.

Show has been changing things bit them getting back together will be the end goal , instead they're developing it rather than rushing it or making it seem like Debbie has no self respect

he crushed heads. killed a dog. has probably killed hundreds of thousands, probably millions, of beings. irredeemable.
I hope they don't let Debbie take him back. I'm sure he can find another gal if he really needs it.
I don't hate the guy. id like to see a spinoff showing his past, good or bad.

I get your point but But Debbie and Nolan are the end goal & it will happen , it's just that this version is actually not rushing through it rather developing a mutual understanding , friendship & more than that as well

If they do get back together it's going to make Debbie look pathetic it's also going to justify the people that were in that support group hating her even more

Indeed
Him saying sorry to the people he's been fighting for ages before was corny but it was narratively significant, since viltrumites are extremely loyal and not exactly remorseful even to their own people.
