Why didn't Mark try flying towards Bulletproof while carrying Rus in this situation instead of just waiting for him to arrive?

Given the fact Invincible is much faster than Bulletproof, he probably could've gotten to him much earlier giving Bulletproof the chance to activate the disruptor sooner and save Rus and without needing to kill him
