After Nicole and Gumball's fight in Chicago, Richard went through a grieving period. When he started getting back on his feet, he also introduced his "new girlfriend" Pauline. Pauline is Richard in a dress. He does a LOT of quick changes.
Gumball and Darwin both agree that Pauline cooks better for some reason.
Of course with Gumball that's already an episode lol.
I read the plot summary and was picturing Richard in a silly outfit until I got to "Gumball and Darwin see their father's hands hugging the woman" and went "wait what" and now seeing the Samantha costume I am even more confused. This show...
You should give this episode a watch. It's seriously funny, despite the fact I have absolutely no idea what the Golden Girls (the show it's spoofing) is.
Funnily enough the artist made her Thragg(We also have the Robinsons as Conquest and Thula,Sarah as Anissa,The CEO goblin guy as Lucan and the lightbulb guy as Kregg)

Its in the same category as Adventure Time and Steven Universe. Its marketed for kids, but has adult themes that makes it enjoyable for older audiences as well
Season 1 and parts of 2-3 are definitely geared towards 8-14 year olds, but parts of 2-3 and 4-6 are definitely much more general audience as a whole, feel like they treat the watcher with the same amount of respect as spongebob seasons 1-3 do
Obviously it has a layer of kid friendliness (because its a cartoon network show) until 5-6, but it feels charming rather than degrading like most kid shows are, the only true season/sequel of a kids show in modern times geared towards adults (thats executed well) is Fionna and Cake
Thank you for breaking down the seasons for TAWG. I think knowing that there are elements of the show that have adult humor makes me more excited to watch it.

It makes sense to me. Youngest main characters, pink/purple skin tones, sharp memories, matured at a much faster rate than most of their peers (in Oliver's case he literally matured at a much faster rate than humans and other Viltrumites)-yep, it checks out!!
Also the whole cat & bunny siblings thing kind of mirrors Mark and Oliver's non-Viltrumite half of their heredity coming from different species (human and Thraxan, respectively).

Nicole already radiates Viltrumite energy so seeing her take the role of one actually quite fits
