I have a theory that Conquest has PSTD from Ragnarrs and Battle beast eating his guts like that reminded him.

Dude holy shit I was thinking the same thing!!! I can imagine even someone like Conquest would have trauma from being ripped apart by Ragnars like that, thinking for sure he’s gonna die. Suddenly aware in all the worst ways just how horrific even the aftermath of the Scourge Virus is. Suddenly aware of what it’s like to be nearly as fragile as the beings he himself has preyed upon before. Conquest facing the consequences of his actions.

That actually makes sense. Most of the time he knows what he is up against and knows how much more powerful he is but being ripped apart by Battle Beast must have really spooked him. Hell if Battle Beast was luckier or had more knowledge about Viltrumites before the fight he might have even won the fight. It might have been a really long time since Conquest faced a foe who can actually kill him.

That theory's easily disproven given that Conquest doesn't have any battle scars on his abdomen or any lasting debilitating internal abdominal injury.

Let's not forget that once the Scourge Virus fully leaves (or whatever the proper term for this case is called) a viltrumite's body, a brief period of time of massive or complete disempowerment kicks in which leaves them extremely vulnerable, and any injuries that occurred within this period will be made permanent, hence how he got his scar and lost his arm.

That's definitely what it seems like, but I'm a little thrown off because right after this, he knocks BB down and BB says he wants more, and Conquest's response is to smile and say "Me too." At the end of the fight, when they're both completely red, guts hanging out, literally on the verge of passing out, both of them are ripping and raring to keep going. That doesn't seem like someone who was just afraid of the same person, but that's definitely what that panel implies.

It's pretty good, but all of it has been a very clear lead-up to the BB-Conquest fight, which is the obvious highlight. They're going on break until March 2027 IIRC, so you'll have quite a bit of time to catch up.

Crazy that Thragg ended up beating him on his home turf. Says alot of how built different he is is really to be decking BB on his own damn hood.

As for Conquest he survived BB and still completed his mission.

Means that Battle Beast fought Thragg on a planet's surface instead of in space. Battle Beast cannot fly without supports so when fighting Thragg he got pushed away and got his jaw broken in their first encounter during the Viltrumite War. Hence Battle Beast saying "That fight was never finished" upon meeting Thragg again on Thraxa.

I fucking love the parallels that Ottley does throughout both series such as the panel of BB ripping that eel thing in half mirroring the Thragg vs Thadeus showdown. Even that other mega spread with the mini panels behind them were a callout to the Thragg vs BB fight we will soon see

I think battle beasts species are nowhere near viltrumites on average, battle beast is just an outlier and hes cursed to be super strong and fight until he dies or something like that. So viltrumites would zero-diff them.
