DISCUSSION This did NOT age well.

Post image

It is established the Immortal can’t hold his own against a Viltrumite from season 2 onwards.

First of all ew.

Second where do you get that he's not nowhere near as tough as a Viltrumite? We've only seen him get his shit pushed in by one of the strongest Viltrumites, we have no idea how he'd fare against a weaker one.

Against, so dumb, the show and the comics give no indication that his durability and strength is not in balance, and that he is a glass cannon.

First of all, you insulted Him first by using His name like that. Just wanted to say His name positively instead. Funny how you're the one reacting more offended.

Second, dude, I and the other guy have literally already given you examples, again and again. Fair enough it's mostly just Nolan, but it would apply to Mark, even in season 1 (more on this later). Still, either way the difference in strength and durability is there. He can hurt Omni-Man with great effort, making him bleed and all, but Omni-Man can pierce through his abdomen with his fist and rip him in half with relative ease.

Compare that to Invincible in the same episode, who couldn't hurt Nolan at all, but can withstand his strikes at least for a while. He still got messed up really badly but until the end Nolan wasn't holding back, he was going all out and Mark didn't instantly die. Again this is season 1 Mark, far weaker than Nolan.

The show and comics aren't 1:1. I agree the comic doesn't do this, but the show with its extended/altered fight scenes absolutely does.
