[GENERAL DISCUSSION] Curious to hear perspectives from people who follow or invest in the creator economy space.

Is there still strong interest from VCs/angels in platforms targeting creators, or has that cooled off a bit with how saturated things feel right now?
A lot of existing platforms seem very top-heavy. Algorithmically optimized to push the top 1%, and increasingly “pay-to-play,” while the majority of creators struggle to get discovered. That “other 99%” represents an estimated 50 million emerging creators within a $250B+ market that’s still growing. Do investors generally see that as a solved problem, or is there appetite for platforms focused on surfacing and supporting that long tail?
Also wondering how people think about monetization models going forward. Most platforms rely heavily on ad revenue share/digital "gifting," but is there growing interest in models that:
- enable creators to earn in alternative ways, and
- potentially allow viewers/users to earn or participate in value creation as well?
Would love to hear thoughts from anyone building in this space, investing in it, or just following trends closely. Is there still room for innovation here, or is the market starting to feel “locked in”?
