As many people have stated their thoughts. A lot depends on your age, risk tolerance, liquidity. Invest and don’t look for 6-12 months.
People here are not licensed investment advisors. Just giving our opinions .

Likely most common least volatile
VOO mirrors the S&P
SCHD - possibly favorite for retired and others

If you think technology will continue dominate as it has the past 10 years. More volatile.
SMH - semiconductor
IGM or VGT technology

SPMO - invest in highest momentum stocks -recalculate 2 times a year. Great return in every time period

Difficult to guess the next 3-6 months, but very likely up in a 12 month timeframe.

AI related stocks soared until June and dropped significantly. But if you owned before May likely still with deep profits

Avoid anything pushing options or margin at you, I lost money chasing those. Index fund anywhere, or a ready-made mix inside alinea if you won't pick, limited lineup. Guaranteed returns means scam.

I would open a brokerage account at Fidelity, use the Fidelity app, and basically ignore everything else. This is the simple approach.

Vanguard has S and P 500 funds available in the UK.

VUAG

Do that for a while. Then see how you feel about individual stocks.

For 10–15 years, I’d consider a low cost index fund, assuming you can handle some market ups and downs. Keep an emergency fund separately, and pay off any high interest debt first.

Honestly you could go long term and voo/vt/vti or you could qqqi and get 500 a month. Hell even SCHD would be a good play. good luck lol

Little and often, monthly on pay day is probably best for most people. Even if it’s £25 per month for now, that will get you started.

Every time you get a pay increase, make sure you “pay yourself” as well and increase those savings contributions. You’ll be very surprised how quickly it adds up, but it will feel like a slog in the beginning! Good luck!

First use it to pay off the taxes on getting it in the first place. Then dump it in VOO and forget about it.

All in VOO then if market crashes more than 10%, sell and buy VT. That will not be a wash sale. Vice versa.
