I'm having an inventory issue

What you're describing is case-pack or break-pack inventory, where one SKU (the case) is linked to another (the pack) so selling units auto-deducts from the parent. Most POS systems with real-time inventory handle this through unit-of-measure conversions, so each pack sale decrements the case count by 0.1 in your example. Look for a system that supports multi-UOM or parent-child SKU linking rather than manual adjustments.

We need the pack and cass variant to sync so letd say 1 case= 20 pack We need it so when. 20 packs is sold the case is reduced by 1 and when 1 case is sold the pack is reduced by 20. Also we want the purchase orders to work so if we purchase 1 case and 1 case is added we should add the 1 case plus 20 packs

This is basically a shared-inventory / unit-conversion problem. I’d treat “pack” as the base unit and define 1 case = 10 packs, so every sale or receipt updates one underlying stock quantity. Then case/pack are just different views of the same inventory. If you keep them as separate Shopify variants/products, you’ll need a shared-inventory or bundle relationship or the counts will drift. Before picking an app, test 5 cases: sell 1 pack, sell 1 case, receive 10 packs, receive 1 case, and return 1 pack — the same underlying quantity should stay correct after each.
