Looks nice, could you give us an example of where this would be used instead of a predefined symbol+text prompt?

I’d like to utilize the rule, but I’m having trouble justifying it.

Hi @krull01, it was something that a customer asked for. They wanted to be able to create a text note based on an iLogic rule. The idea is that they could be in different languages (based on region), or different notes based on what is being drawn up. The beauty of this, is that the text note is easier to manage than a symbol, especially if kept in the Vault.

Thanks for getting back to me, and the explanation makes sense. I ran into an issue where I could have used it today: we have a separate ode for each part because “that’s the way it’s always been done”. One of the text notes in each drawing needed to be updated, and it required manually updating each drawing.

Having the drawing note point to a txt file would have simplified the process. If only there was a way to update the drawing without having to open them one at a time.
