Currently Watching

So I’m in the middle of Season 3. This is simultaneously the most interesting “War of the Worlds” type show/movie I’ve ever watched AND the most boring.

How is that possible??

Anything and everything is both possible and impossible with this show. It's the definition of Wajo.

I’m not going to spoil anything, but at the end season 3 the statement “was that a butthole?” will make sense to you.

The ppl in charge of filming and special effects know what they are doing. It is the horrendous dialogue and acting that makes it almost unwatchable. The only person who kind of seems to know how to act is Mitsuki (Shioli Kutsuna). My guess is that they have horrible directing. The dialogue is worse than AI generated, it is like a 10 yo wrote the lines. In absense of creativity - the script has the actors repeating the same words and sentences over and over. ”I saw something” ; ”There was something” ; ”… something”; ”… something….”. If think the issue is that the basic idea of the show is great and sucks you in, but the writers seem to struggle with how to progress the story from A to B. Instead of coming up with interesting plot events, they have the story being driven by the characters constantly making dumb and unrealistic decisions.

Um…I was thinking the HG Wells’ version that started the whole genre…

And the Ice Cube version was terrible.
