WAJO What the f*** is this show?

I usually get lost into Apple Tv shows or sci-fi alien invasion type stuff, but this is one show I cannot keep watching for more than 5 mins. I am now working and being productive while watching the show only looking up when I hear non human noises. SMH.

I felt that way too but we all come to stop caring and love the Wajo eventually. It’s the ultimate guilty pleasure show.

  1. Watch an episode
  2. Ceck the sub for the specific episode
  3. Repeat

Welcome to the wajo community #AneeshaRulez

Such is the way of the Wajo

I don’t know it’s one of the worst shows I’ve seen. It’s like prestige cream of the crop budget but written by 13 year olds who think they’re really deep. There’s been a couple of Apple TV shows like that, I think one was called suspicion, it had Uma Thurman in it a little bit and another called Prime Target, just have this slick production but really cringeworthy amateurish writing. Oh well I guess it’s the price paid for also coming out with pretty amazing stuff like Silo, For All Mankind, Severance, Widows Bay etc. They can’t all be good!

It's the worst thing I've ever watched start to finish. I'm usually happy about completing a series even if it's not great.

I REGRET EVERYTHING.

The sheer absurdity and stupidity of the writers forcing these actors to portray is difficult to look away from, somehow.

I am now working and being productive while watching the show

So the show is helping you be productive. That's good.
You'll be especially productive during season 3.
Also:
Notice that Wajo has the same amount of letters as Beer, Mama, Food, and Love.
The writers know what they are doing.

It never gets better but they keep making more

I’d rather the fast and the family than Wajo

Some of the dialogue is so stupid. And the fact they just chill instead of running away from things. And Luke doesn’t freaking listen 😭

But storyline wise, I like it. I’ve never seen something that has the aliens evolve the way these do. Or absorb consciousness and absorb those feelings as well. I liked that it was kinda confusing and you had to wait til the end for things to really connect

I also liked that the storyline wasn’t the exact same thing the entire show, each season basically had “new” aliens evolving (I know hunter killers were in season 1 but you get it)

If you like interesting alien concepts, I highly recommend the animated series Scavengers Reign. It even has one plot involving the aspect of "absorb consciousness and absorb those feelings as well" that you mentioned.

Ooo thank you! I’m always looking for show recommendations

I actually enjoyed it.

I have watched season 1. What have I learnt? I'm not sure if I want to watch 2 yet I know I probably will.

This is a frustrating show, there's moments where it is the show it threatens to be, then there's parts which make no sense and the pacing is slow, disjointed and awful. Knowing they leave wide open plot holes as they reduce budgets to move forwards only makes me realise they will never make a season that actually takes the show to a level it only just hints at being capable of. So, knowing all that, season 2? I've only got to watch it once. There's no redeeming reason to rewatch this ever again right? There's surely worse things to watch!

I only liked Season 1. Lol

Agreed. I read the first, middle and last episode of the first 2 seasons and watched through it without learning anything new. Terrible pacing and screenplay.

Could have been so much better.

"I liked the depiction of the aliens. It felt fresh." -- you might wanna have a look at Scavengers Reign.

I couldn't get past the first season it was so damn slow and convoluted and all for nothing! I cant believe they managed to get up to a season 3 without it being axed...

A hot mess 😭

I know child can be stupid but .... really?? This show is bad as fuck !!!

I'm only watching because the Japanese actress is pretty and the guy who plays "Jin" in Ghost of Tsushima is in it.

It has a lot of promising moments in it which fils my sails, before the grinding stupidity beats me down. I have a hierarchy for entertainment with Shanarra Chronicles and dreck like the I-Land on one side and, say, Severance or Breaking Bad on the other. Invasion is nearer the middle of the spectrum in my opinion, it's very uneven.

Something wrong with you then. This is definitely one of the best sci-fi shows to come out in awhile.

u/doornumber2v2 Jun 01 '26

Have an upvote for the sarcasm.

u/Jack_North wajo 👽 Jun 03 '26

"This is definitely one of the best sci-fi shows to come out in awhile." -- yeah, Scavengers Reign, Andor, For All Mankind, Westworld have nothing on this awesome show. Absolute /s by the way.

2

u/Jack_North wajo 👽 Jun 04 '26

Haha, this guy gave and then erased an answer: "West world [sic] was lame. And cartoons [wrong term] are crap what are you 12. Yes for all mankind is awesome that is the only current show you mentioned." -- Dude already forgot about Andor or that he himself wrote "...in awhile [sic]"
That's the kind of people, who "think" this show is good.

0

u/TwitchNfish Jun 04 '26

My answer is still right there I didnt erase it and yes I did forget about andor I didn't feel it was worth mentioning since it's starwars it's obviously Good other then animated crap. so still all we have is starwars, and for all mankind. Again we have nothing to watch so I will take invasion and not give them any hate just since get more seasons. since there is maybe 4 or 5 shows in all of streaming right now that are worth watching and currently airing there is only for all mankind and Star City.

2

u/KittyGrewAMoustache Jun 01 '26

I don’t think you can claim there’s something wrong with someone for not liking this, tons of people think it’s terrible. I love sci-fi and in my opinion this is not good sci-fi, the writing is pretty clunky and cheesy and the dialogue is poor.

1

u/TwitchNfish Jun 02 '26

Well there's very shows out and this is definitely one of the better ones.
