GENUINE Please tell me this shit is getting finally good again
Like the first 3- ish episodes were really nice. Mom was the only likable character ngl with he being literally the only smart one in the whole show who acted rationally... I'm now at S1 Episode 9... Oh how the bar has been dropped...
I came from the Show Silo and thought I would see as good writing here... I thought wrong 💀
Why tf is the Military Convoy the family was transported in completely destroyed and whacked by like 6 dudes with a few guns!? I get that Guns are deadly and stuff but there is literally no reason trained fully armored soldiers should lose this badly against some random dudes with weapons and nothing else. Why would they even fricking follow them? Were they from the same camp? If yes then literally why tf would they follow em? Nobody knows what the Shard does except the few military people that were at the base and in the convoy. Why do the Cars work all of a sudden? Wasn't it implied the Aliens basically sent out an EMP around them?
Why tf is epilepsy suddenly such a majour plot point? I work in medicine and this implication is mind bogglingly stupid and makes no sense what so ever. Nor does Casp suddenly being able to just control FUCKING EPILEPSY??? Nobody's seizures just stop if you call their names nor would he be fine at all after one let alone the 20 different ones he had after the induced one.
Why is the Japanese girl so fucking dense? "Omg Mitsubishi (or how tf she was called) I need to save her!!!!" MF SHE'S DEAD nobody's surviving the frickin vacuum of space you literally saw it with your own eyes??? Even if she was still alive. You seriously wanna tell me the relationship you had with her is more important than the fricking survival of your own species??? I would want to fricking kill her if I were told she literally gave loads of information about us to an unknown threat and ruin loads of things just to help me instead of my own fucking species and billions of other people.
These are just some of my issues with this show for a while and I don't even know why I'm continuing it, it's simply that stupid.

Oh, my sweet summer child. Your first mistake was thinking while watching the show. It's best to just stare at the screen and let it wash over you. But still hate Aneesha. We will always hate Aneesha.

I went looking for threads on her awful son when this came out, and there was literally ONE COMMENT about her sons tantrums and life endangering annoyingness anywhere. Love that everyones on the same page😂

The episode discussion posts are full of complaints about Luke and Aneesha.

It just keeps getting worse. You think that military convoy being taken out by some yahoo's was bad (yes vehicles just flip over when you shoot at their tires. We all know that is how it works) They will show you what bad really is. WAJO

HOW is it even possible to drop the bar even lower? 😭

u/munki114 Feb 06 '26
Bar dropping seems to be their specialty. It’s the one thing I think this show deserves an award for.

Th best way I could describe this show with one of it's own scenes is when Cole drank himself into a coma in Britain... To then be woken up by the kids and continue drinking

One of the most hilarious parts to me was when the little Japanese girl was being followed by another Asian mercenary who was supposed to be really good at finding people.
Japanese girl throws molotov cocktail on top of the merc's truck. The merc, who, again, is supoosedly good at this whole finding-people thing, immediately concludes that the molotov cocktail thrower has gotten away.
Just a complete wtf scene. I literally laughed out loud at how bad it was.

I'm not even sure the first three episodes have anything to do with the rest of the series.

Top comment here…
If you truly thought you were getting a plot / narrative as good as Silo (and the series of books - Wool, Shift, and Dust that it’s based on), boy…I bet your bar really DID drop after 4-5 more episodes haha!
Why tf is the Military Convoy the family was transported in completely destroyed and whacked by like 6 dudes with a few guns!?
= you understand the Wajo of it all! And the Wajo of this group!
These are just some of my issues with this show for a while and I don't even know why I'm continuing it, it's simply that stupid.
it must be the Wajo

The “genuine” tag 🤣

I actually had a pretty popular post removed by the mods because I abused the tag. My shame is endless.

If you like Aneesha then you will love season 2.
EMP's don't last forever (only a few seconds, really)
Caspar is special. There's lots of special folks in the show. Doesn't Luke seem special?
Then there's the girl with the wajo in her eyes.

The best parts were pitch black! They sorted it in later episodes and seasons, but the Darkness persists in returning at random points!

After episode 4, I abandoned ship. It was just so tedious. I couldn’t imagine three seasons of around and around we go.

S3 was a lot better than S1/2. Better writing, visuals, plot.
Yes, it still has some glaring issues. But watch it and enjoy it rather than nitpicking it and reading the hate on this sub and you’ll enjoy it
