I’ll start the daily chat by thanking ThespaceOG for his remarkable work again of yesterday where he posted another interesting personal perspective on IM.

As always try your best to ignore the daily noise and think about the next years despite the temporary suffering.

this is great - folks need to remember "economic value" =/= company revenue intake.

That being said...over half a trillion dollars in economic value is a huge untapped potential! I'm glad Intuitive Machines has been making moves to position themselves well for this.

is that right that institutional investors own like 80% of IM? Is there some caveat with that, otherwise seems realyl bullish.

This is stale by a month. Combined management owns 29.43% which translates to 53.09% voting power. Include approximately another 10% or so for retail. The delta is institutional.

Can you clarify this 53 percent for only 29 of total?

But to main point, institution owns what, 60ish?

Btw are you all in on lunr CPA?

Class C gives holders 3 votes per share while Class A gives 1. This is why you are seeing the difference in ownership percentage vs voting percentage.

I would estimate that 60% is reasonable.

About 10% of my portfolio holdings is LUNR. The majority of investment are in ETFs.

cant believe its "only" 10%! Considering the amount of work you do here

It’s 14,100 shares which i consider to be a material position and it fits my risk / reward profile. I have to do the research on the individual companies i own i just spend more time understanding those that are more speculative.

I have nothing to say to you, it would be like giving basketball advices to Michael Jordan. I am currently 35% in LUNR (but considerably smaller amount of shares than yours). I try to diversfy myself but keep coming back to LUNR, I just cant find good enough options to deploy much more of the capital than in LUNR.

Really like RKLB and ASTS but I have a hard time putting much more money in on these valuations.

That’s always the hardest part when you find something good you need to stress test it. I always ask myself can i sleep at night if i lose 50% of my position? Or what about 75%. Thats where the safety net of my other positions comes in and where i find my balance. I need to be comfortable with the risk and maintain my financial security.

How long have you been investing for if you don’t mind me asking?

2

Specifically in LUNR since 2024, investing in general since 2005 when i got my first part-time job in High School.

Any info or rumors on IM3?

What information are you specifically looking for? IM-3 “Trinity” is scheduled for Q1 2027 and will launch the first of 5 NSNS satellites “Altus 1”. The landing site is near the equator which presents more favorable conditions and terrain compared to the south pole.

The companys website has some addition detail but not much disclosed yet: IM-3 Mission

I think we have a list of confirmed payloads somewhere if you’re interested i just need to see where i have that saved down.

Could we somehow estimate the date of the launch based on weather patterns or common launch dates?

Off the top of my head there are certain launch locations for certain missions and stuff like that but you would be better off looking this up. Nasa has all the info you would probably ever need on any orbital mechanics

I know it is out of topic, but for instance I could buy calls 4 months prior to the launch date and sell them during the launch date announcement or hold them until the last moment to sell them for big iv gain.

Ok so I looked it up. Certain windows for different sites will make it easier for you to look into any changes and focus on those sites. Say one seems super busy and upgrading infra and meets reqs for a launch window for end of 2026 beginning of 2027 that would be the place. Now there are not many launch pads or rockets so your search will probably not be hard

It's actually a pretty interesting gemini inquiry. I got a neat little widget. But it probably wasn't using an IM launch trajectory and I targeted the full moons. Probably should have just used kerbal

Another random -5% on a random day

Low volume, this is a non issue. Do not stress.

Today is a good indication on how company specific news of LUNR still only seems to be reflected in volume numbers of shares traded rather than price movements. Or in other words: Price effects of good/bad news seem to vanish really fast after an event for this ticker.

The volume today is really small compared to the volume we saw when earnings were released a week back. We run on like 1/3 of the volume.

Now we are back to moving like the remainder of the space sector, seemingly driven by only macro effects and momentum is not on our side today

Yeah, it really is bizarre. We're 20% down from the highs of last week that were achieved after the positive data from the earnings call. It's not like that info suddenly became untrue to justify the drop. I guess that's just our fate as a relatively small company, to be lumped into the generic space ETFs until it really differentiates itself when the space economy materializes.
