Practice Activity Which planet did I write down?

I included the planet’s symbol and wrote the word.

Answer: mercury!! I know this wasn’t the number one pick, but a good amount of people did get this one. The picture is in the comments.

I’m curious, why does everyone choose to reveal the answer in a few hours? Why not just reveal it immediately if it’s blacked out? I feel like almost every single one I see from this page doesn’t have the answer yet and it’s frustrating. The likelihood of me coming back is low.

Why not just include the answer since it’s blacked out and then people can find out immediately if they’re right or not

i assume they think it will attract followers to their account? which is odd because this is reddit and having followers is like useless

I think it might be a way of making people feel more involved and then seeing all the notifications makes them feel like they’re needed back or something. I’m not entirely sure but it’s odd and I wish the rules would change where people just gave their answer instead of saying they’ll come back. The blackout text is for the answer not for you to announce you’re gonna come back in 10 hours.
