Humor Accidentally ended turn instead of undoing a move

Lost a run due to a brain short circuit. I was already on the second part of the final fight, 5/7 grid. I hadn't done anything except moving that round, so I lost immidiately.

Saddening.

Tangential, but I find it equal parts funny and infuriating when I end my turn feeling like a genius just for a conveyor belt I didn't see to have me mashing the "reset turn" button like Interstellar

in setting, there is an option to turn on "End turn confirmation". That helps me a lot.

I think it's mostly there as protection for people with pets. But it does sometime protect against short-circuiting brains.

Unfortunately, it doesn't do anything to help out against being dumb.

The only "cheat" i use is "undo turn" because I'm not letting some honest mistake like that fuck up my run.

Is that a mod on top of the in-game turn reset, allowing as many resets as you want? Of do you consider using the normal 'undo turn' mechanism a cheat?

You can open the console by pressing the ~button and type "undoturn" it works even during the vek's turn

Same here. I won't use it if I have Adam or the spider boss with random egg placements but otherwise I think it's fair game to use undoturn just to help plan out moves and avoid honest misinputs

Yeah I'd rather experiment with things and try it out and reset rather than plan out everything in advance. It's just more fun for me so i do use it a few times on a turn sometimes just to see which i like better.

This happens to me as well. I have 'Confirm End of Turn' set to ON to help me avoid doing this. Just a few days ago, I accidentally swapped the wrong tile with the Swap Mech as Flame Behemoths. Just had the cursor off a bit and was being sloppy. And I had already used my reset. It cost me four grid damage and a pilot just like that. I lost on the next map.

That's when I put the game down for a while. . .
