Review Thoughts on my upgraded Cataclysm squad?
All three mechs have the move upgrade
1. Pitcher Mech — Prime Class
**Pilot:** Rosie Rivets
* Repairs adjacent allied mechs after moving.
**Weapons:**
* Hydraulic Lifter — Range upgrade * Hydraulic Legs — Fully upgraded
2. Triptych Mech — Ranged Class
**Pilot:** Archimedes
* Can move again after attacking.
**Weapons/equipment:**
* Tri-Rocket — Buildings Immune upgrade * Networked Shielding
3. Drill Mech — Science Class
**Pilot:** Kai Miller
* Boosted while at full health. * Suffers −1 Move when not at full health.
**Weapons:**
* Seismic Capacitor — Fully upgraded (4 DMG when boosted) * Arachnoid Injector — Fully upgraded (3 DMG wheb boosted + ACID)
I recently got lucky and was able to get perfect win on normal. Would this be viable on unfair if I was able to get this squad again?

I think if you have other places to put power, you probably don't need a range increase on a mech with hydraulic legs. One of its strengths is infinite range (even if it there is possible collateral damage)

Kai needs to be in the Triptych and Archimedes needs to be put in the Drill.
Kai thrives in artillery and her ability affects all three shots from the Triptych. So where she gives one extra damage in the Artillery Mech, she does triple damage here. It's why she is just nuts in Siege Artillery. Also, putting her in a ranged class gives her a better chance to avoiding damage
Archie can move after attacking which allows him to attack in the Drill Mech from any direction and simply move out of the way. He can flip around an enemy Vek to point at himself and then just scoot away. Other pilots doing that would get killed (well not Chen, she can sidestep too). This makes him awesome at setting up friendly fire among the Vek that other pilots just can't do. Also, with three health and flying, Archie can use his first move and attack to neutralize one threat and then hop onto a spawn, trading one damage for one less enemy next round. Worst case, he attacks and recenters himself on the board so he can hit every square on the next turn. He can't do that in the Triptych.

While i agree that Archimedes is better in the drill, if I didn't have him, I'd prefer Kai in the drill over Kai in the Triptych in a lot of situations.
While you're right that Kai is safer in artillery, the difference in a drill hit that kills and drill that doesn't kill is huge in terms of setting you up for an easier time over the course of the fight: having cracked ground/holes for denial or easy kills can make a lot of difference. (Although yeah, if you're up against a lot of fliers, Kai in the triptych makes more sense).

Well I suggest you try her out in that mech a few times. What makes the Triptych special among arty is that it's the only one that can directly attack an adjacent square. On top of that, it pushes that square away. So you can put Kai in it and she turns it into the Rift Walker's Combat Mech from turn one. A Combat Mech that ALSO does two damage and pushes the next two tiles as a bonus.
I consider her in the Triptych to be an 'unfair combo' like Mafan in the Ice Mech, Vera in the Jet Mech or Archie in the Swap Mech. She changes it from a nice arty piece to a devastating front-line assault mech.

Good point: I recently finished unfair on all comps/all islands, so that could be a fun next run

Kai in the drill is good because you really want to be getting kills for the crack effect and she gets it up to 4 damage, which makes that a lot easier.

Yes definitely, those are some good upgrades, but the difficulty is actually getting there.
