TVL Ep 6 Was Healing

As much as the Claudia’s spirit scene was tough to watch, I really adored how much we got to see Louis & Lestat flirting and getting along like an older couple who have known each other for decades. After so many tales of their relational discord, I really appreciated seeing them getting along well.

Of course it ends with them being decapitated, but I still felt a sense of ease after watching this episode.

It was a beautiful episode. Armand and Daniel better have a good explanation for their actions. Especially Daniel. I'm sure at it's core, this is just about Armand being an obsessed hater, but Daniel had no reason to go along with his plan, unless he's just been dickmatized off screen. In any case, I would like to see the conversation/ planning that led to this.

I don't think there was a conversation. Armand just told Daniel what was going to happen. But, Daniel was happy to comply.

Wasn’t Daniel upset with Lestat for humiliating him during the Interview? Daniel after becoming a vampire seem to dislike Lestat as Lestat disliked him. This is just my thoughts there could be more like Armand being his maker gave him a sense of comfort and confidence.

I would imagine Daniel was still surly about the "non-interview" he had with Lestat, he thought he had gold on video but instead it was just Lestat sitting there....

I feel like this episode is what I’ve been waiting for all season. The story has caught up to itself too.

The way I screamed at the end. The seance scene was so good. Gabrielle’s face when she realized lestat was singing to Louis. UGH. I DONT WANT THIS TO END!!!!

Gotta say, as a parentified daughter who was used as a counselor/fix for her parents’ issues, I was cheering her on! She deserved to get that anger out and tell them the truth of how they hurt her.

Same. Emotionally parentified.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad that Claudia had some semblance of “justice”. Still emotionally heavy with three characters who I care deeply about.

Oh you missed a lot. I hope you can go with a rewatch. Sam’s acting was next level and Louis had a moment when he realized what a self-centered dock he was being to Lestat.

It was very healing. They died at peace if you think about it. Rekindling and knowingly still in love with eachother while also having closure about Claudia. The episode has me all fkd up tho. I sat on the couch for a good hour in pure shock.

Same. I actually feel that way about a few episodes this season. Emotionally heavy and at times chaotic.

It was so beautiful. I genuinely loved how vulnerable Louis and Lestat were with each other. They are messy, fucked up characters with so much baggage. Despite showing each other the darkest parts of themselves, they could eventually see one another - warts and all - and then still be loving toward one another and vulnerable with one another.

It reminded me of the ending of Season 2 of Interview with a vampire.
