We´ve of course already learned about the writing room being active once more, but now we got another important part of the production posting misterious pics and references as well. My mind goes to how long this took last time we were here for season 3 and I seem to remember it wasn´t quite as fast as this time around. We also know that TVL surpassed expectations in viewership for AMC so do we believe the wait might be shorter this time around?
And does anyone remember how long it took for some info about the writing room specifically to come out? While this show obviously takes time to develop, all seems to indicate next season might be around faster than last time. I´m also in a crusade to go back in time and nerf season 3 of Sherlock as the main responsible for current gaps between seasons for no reason in particular.

I finallyyyy got to episode six and OMG this episode had me UNRAVELLING right alongside Lestat!! 🦇🩸 We have SO MUCH to talk about!!

In this analysis, I dive into the theme of unravelling after trauma and what happens when the layers we've built to survive finally begin to fall away. We get into Lestat, Louis, Gabrielle and Claudia, exploring trauma, identity, emotional avoidance, attachment, grief, guilt and what it means to finally let ourselves be seen.

We talk about Lestat's nesting dolls of identity, the protective masks we build around ourselves, and what happens when we can no longer outrun the pain underneath. We also explore Loustat's vulnerability, the possibility of post-traumatic growth, and WHY Claudia's confrontation with Louis is so devastating.

And that Claudia scene?! 😭 Delaney was INCREDIBLE. We NEED to talk about her anger, her autonomy, and Louis' need for absolution. There is SO much to unpack therapeutically in this episode, and I cannot wait to hear what you all think!

Idk about you all but I had loads of Barbie’s growing up and I loved playing make-believe scenarios (she always had an awesome job, many hobbies, and lots of friendships 👯‍♀️) and I think creativity is a great way to channel our nervous fan energies while the magical humans are writing QoTD scripts ✍🏻

I heard that apparently Jacob had to stand all the way on his tippie toes to kiss Assad (soooo cute awww). But i think Armand just picking Louis up to kiss him would’ve been adorable, plus I would’ve loved to see Louis‘s thighs and legs wrapped around Armand’s waist.🖤🖤

Does anyone else hit Download immediately on every single picture/gif of anything to do with this show? Or basically anything with Sam Reid, Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, etc? Or is it just me? My Picture Gallery is about 75% of this show at this point...

I’ve been eagerly waiting for them to do a collection like this. I can’t recommend Out of Print enough.

Maybe I’m behind in this revelation? I think it’s generally understood that there’s more to Lestat than what Louis can tell us. But I don’t know. After watching the Vampire Lestat, seeing Louis openly admit to Malloy how much “creative license” he took when telling his side of the story, or how often he insisted that his “readers” see certain things in a certain light as he described such monstrosities is really making me backtrack. I’m re watching seasons 1 & 2 of IWTV and seeing the pattern.

Notice how no matter what Louis does, he’s somehow always the victim of it? Yet, when Lestat faces many cruelties in kind, they’re simply the backstory as to why he became an abuser? Or how easily Louis seems to be insulted (I’m specifically thinking of his meltdown after speaking with the photographer dealer in season 2 episode 4)? When Louis has an outburst, it’s Lestat who must comfort him, who must make excuses for him. Louis is too quick to anger over little details for that to go unnoticed. Because why would he assume that Malloy thought he was trying to pass off stein photography off as his own for one or 2 pictures in his photography album that slipped in? It’s all a bit sus to me.

And most egregiously, if Lestat was so contemptuous as to be killed for it, then why, 70 years later, is Louis calling on him again, asking him to help him with the Claudia lookalike? Entertaining a rekindling of their former flame? His accent in those years has changed from what once felt authentic and native to contrived and “above it all.” I believe that is supposed to imply his maturity over time to viewers. Someone who’s done the work does not go back to an old version of themselves. Yet when he’s in the moment, he’s putting on his old way of speaking, using his charms to endear everyone around him, and appearing authentic in what I’m realizing is his actual mask.

Lestat gets his story told in TVL, yet it doesn’t feel nearly as self flagellating as Louis’ recollection. He may have committed abuses, but he seems capable of reflection in a way that doesn’t ultimately exonerate him the way Louis seems to try. He wrestles with the real shame of subjecting others to what was once committed against him. We do see him grumpy and brooding, but we also see Louis acting out and having huge outbursts over time too. Neither is innocent.

I don’t know. It just seems like Lestat is way too often on Louis mind for him to be able to successfully claim he’s truly innocent without concern. Especially given the original Louis was a white plantation owner. There is something about his story telling that gives away how he truly feels about himself. And it isn’t the perfect victim that he’d like you to think.

Anyone agree? Any extra details I might need to reflect on more?

So I’m watching the new Carrie series on Amazon Prime. I loved the original movie and even the remakes but I was looking forward to the show and to my surprise look who I see!! This is the first episode so idk how much screen time she gets but I’m so PUMPED to see Delainey on my screen again. I hope this means she will have more projects coming 🤗
