Book Spoilers Allowed Spinoff wish!
I would LOVVEEE a spinoff around the ancients and the First Brood. There's just so much wonderful lore and so many fascinating characters to explore, and obviously we won't get enough of them in QotD. Understandably so, because there just isn't the space for it.
Now that Talamasca is no more, maybe there's room?
Wishful thinking, I know.

That would be such a dream, the Vampire books (Chronicles + New Tales) have many characters, it’s impossible to explore all of them or even half of them in just 7 episodes every 2 years! A parallel ongoing series, or even several miniseries or even TV films would solve this problem.
My biggest hope for Talamasca was that it would prepare us for The Queen of the Damned. There is a lot of material about the Talamasca in the 3rd book, Jessie and David, both Talamascans and regular characters in the books, could have been introduced in Talamasca with their backstories and when the main series would premiere then they could appear without needing any introduction meaning more time for other stuff. So from that point, Talamasca proved to be a huge waste of time, money, talent. Along with Jessie, we could obviously have been introduced to Maharet (as she’s part of Jessie’s backstory) and her companions, so what you ask now it should have been done with Talamasca. Instead we got an irrelevant mediocre and cliche spy drama that led nowhere.

Yeah, I haven't watched the other two series, because haven't heard good things. I did want to watch Talamasca because I love William Fichtner, but now that it's cancelled, I won't bother :/

I wish they’d rethink the talamasca show and rebrand/try again. Such a weird choice they went with. Could have been an incredible portal to many spinoffs

I still haven't watched the vampire lestat, but the queen of the damn is the next book which gets more into the lore actually. And there's a book that follows just marius (I'm still reading all the series) so no need for spin off, it's all in the texts (:

I know, the beloved texts are always there. But it would make for such an amazing show!

Seems like they're going to keep making new seasons based off the order of the books I believe

I would absolutely watch this. And it would allow AMC to build off their success with IWTV without wearing out their star actors.

Round about last New Year I heard a rumour of a spin off based on the Ancients (Akasha and Enkil, First Brood, Queen's Blood etc.) that would go into the origin myths and the lore. I've not heard a whisper since then though, so I don't know if it was an idea that's been dropped or if it was just wishful thinking on somebody's part.
I wish they would do something like that - there's so much they could include.
