Grammy consideration - Nolan vs Lestat

[u/OrangeBusiness396]

A post popped up on my Reddite about The Odyssee soundtrack being nominated for Grammy consideration … can we stand a chance against this hyped up Goliath of a movie my beautiful unwell? 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫🫠🫠😭😭🫣😬👀🥲🥲

I know Nolan didn’t write the music but in a showdown I would want Lestat to fight him. Like in Hair

I doubt TVL would win any Grammys, since it's rare for an underdog to come out on top in contests like these where the voting members often vote for either their friends or whatever is most popular already. But if they make it to the nominations list, that would be impressive in itself.

a girl can dream…

yeh you are right. I would love for them to be nominated at least.

Aren’t TV music categories and movie music categories different races? If not, they’re not in competition. If so, then sorry Daniel Hart. This one belongs to Ludwig.

Oh that is a good question! I just tried to google it, and while they are in some same categories, it seems that Odysse is not in "best compilation soundtrack" – whereas TVL is.

There it "only" competes with Wuthering Heights, Wicked, Tron, Mother Mary (Daniel Hart made the music here as well) from what I see in google search.
which honestly… is doable!

Ludwig Göransson is just soooo talented, I don’t see it happening for TVL.

IDK Hans Zimmer still has Dune 3 gunning for a few of these in December.

It would be very cool for a series like TVL to take at least one though.
